I had my first meeting with my new midwife today, well was supposed too. She was at a homebirth delivering, so her boss came. She was super nice. BP was perfect, I could not pee for anything so no urine test. Talked to her about the breathing issues I had and she called the lab for my iron results. They were 13.4 which apparently is higher than average so she has no clue why my breathing was so bad, and why it has improved so much since I upped my iron. But told me to carry on with what I was doing if I was happy with it.
She booked me in for my glucose testing, end of June. Which they have only just in the last few months started to do here in the UK. I don't see the midwife again until 28weeks crazy huh. She was about to leave and I said that the other midwife had said she would listen to the heartbeat. She said they normally don't do it until 28weeks as sometimes at 16weeks they cannot find it and don't want to worry people. But she said she would try, and as soon as she put the Doppler on me there it was. My girls were so excited to hear it, love that sound.
So all in all a good appt if uneventfull. Nothing now until my gender/anomaly scan on May 17th
