Thread: 28 week appt and updates

Well it's taken me almost a week to write this! Awfully busy and unmotivated due to the heat. We went in for my appt and everything's looking good. I think their scale is rigged. At home I haven't gained any weight in almost 3 weeks. Their scale said I gained 5 lbs. That was pretty frustrating. I asked for a 3D ultrasound and my wish was granted Baby decided to block most of her face with her arm... her arm that was holding her foot above her head! It's quite amazing what is going on in there. She is now laying transverse. I was freaked out by most of the pictures at first. Her eyes were HUGE and her nose was abnormally large for her face. I have since calmed down. Just not what I had expected to see.

I passed my glucose test! I was pretty nervous about that. My husband finally got some blood work back and has Ebstein-Barr Virus, or mono. It explains why he is so sluggish. We figure he's had it for about 2 months and it's now full-blown. He has bronchitis, fever, and a throat full of white gunk. He's a mess, I'm exhausted, and our house is a disaster. It's been rough. I just try to keep my distance and not get sick. Tomorrow I'm supposed to go get the baby furniture with a friend. Not sure how we're going to move it in, but I imagine we will find a way. Hoping next week is a better one.

Positive note: I have entered the THIRD TRIMESTER!!! A huge milestone in my book

Yay for a good appt for you! Sorry your dh has mono, that is not a fun thing to have, and the older you are the worse it hits you.

Glad to hear you're well, but I'm sorry to hear that your DH isn't feeling so well himself. Wishes for a speedy recovery!

Glad that you and the baby are doing well. I feel that it is always easier for my DH not to get sick when I am sick than it is for me to avoid catching whatever he's got. Good luck and stay well.

Glad all went well with the appointment. Sorry to hear your hubby has mono. Sick husbands are NO FUN at ALL! Glad you're staying healthy though!
It's funny you say that about the 3D u/s. DH actually hates the way the u/s pics look. He always gets annoyed when girls have that as their FB profile pic. LOL. He says they look like aliens. ......agh! Just read your last post about the flooded basement! sorry to hear that! Get that water out as soon as possible and get a dehumidifier down there. Wet basements are such a hassle! Good luck!
