34w appt update

Baby is good and I am good but I am dilated to almost a 5. He said I am a very soft and loose 4 and was surprised that I am. My appointments will be closer together now and I am already on modified bedrest(my phone autocorrected to Breeder). So still sticking to that.

Hopefully he stays in until term!

Lol yeah, silly autocorrect.

I forgot to mention we are very worried about this because I live alonw in the boonies. 911 is 15 minutes away and the hospital another 30. So if my water breaks at home we might be screwed.

We are going to see what we can figure out as far as maybe someone coming to stay with me.

Wow... stay in bed mama! That's quite a bit of dialation.

I know what you mean about being in the 'sticks'. I'm the same time from 911 & the hospital as you. But, I'm not alone.

Until you get someone to stay with you... could you have friends & family check in with you at regular intervals via phone, text or email? It will probably get annoying but it would at least be someone checking on you 'just in case'.

Baby stay put!!!! Hopefully things slow down.

I'm in the boonies too, and hour from the hospital and a ferry ride, and I have to wait for the police dept to have the boat opened if its after midnight. Eek!

I pray your baby bakes longer, but your so close to term that I bet he is very healthy$

Wow! Hopefully he stays put a little longer for you, and gives you plenty of notice when he does decide to come!

Yikes!! Well, you can definitely make it to term still, but take it easy. I am one who has always been to about a 4 by 36 weeks, but still made it to 39 weeks, so you can still get there. I've always wondered how much dilation I've had prior to 36 weeks as I've never been checked earlier? Anyway, stay put baby!!

Yeah I have heard once you hit 4 it is considered active. Except I am not having contractions.
they monitored me at the hospital for 2 hours and there wasn't anything worth noting.

hey all you dilators without contractions - I'm so jealous!!! I mean, I hope your LO stays put and that bedrest helps you, Sara, but seriously! I dilate pre-labor too, but it comes with a few hours a day of contractions starting at 34 weeks!!

so all I'm saying is, I hope our babies stay put till they're good and ready to be born, and that when that time comes that it's nice and quick and easy for us too!

Oh I would say this is likely with plenty of contractions, I just have a high pain tolerance.

Twice I was in labor with DS and didn't know it. The first time they stopped it, the 2nd time was when be was born.
I didn't feel contractions during his birth until about 3 hours after being admitted to the hospital. My nurse kept looking at the monitor and going "you don't feel that?" And I didn't. I finally felt them when I hit transitioning and it was back to back to back contractions and my bladder was full but I couldn't get up to pee!

I have a spell of discomfort every few days for a couple hours, but it never felt like contractions. Now I am thinking it is but I just don't register it that way.

I delivered my first 3 boys without pain meds AND without ever feeling a contraction. I had to have a nurse tell me when to push because I just didn't feel them AT ALL.
