37 week appt

Nothing too exciting. No significant change since last week. I saw the PA instead of my doctor and she said that I'm still really close to 3 CM so she actually stretched my cervix a little bit. Didn't expect it to hurt so much!! She said that baby is "very very very low". She didn't say what station, but last week it was 0 so I wonder if she's past 0 now! There was no concern over my cankles so we didn't really talk about it much.

I am just so ready to have this baby now and I just got a feeling today that she's going to wait until my due date or even beyond. We actually have a wedding to go to on October 1st and I figured we would have a baby by then. Who knows...maybe my water will break during the ceremony. LOL!

Glad your appt went well! The waiting game is the most frustrating part... hang in there! At least, you're progressing! And, about the "ouch"... I got major contractions with DD last time after that. But, not to burst your bubble... DD still didn't come for another couple of weeks. KUP!

Didn't really get any contractions from it. It reminded me kind of what it feels like when they do a pap smear. Just some cramping, but then it went away within a couple of minutes. My doctor saw me in the hallway and she said "I just can't believe you are still pregnant! I thought for sure I would be delivering a baby at 35 weeks!" I guess Sophia is just trying to prove us all wrong and as imaptient as I'm being, I know the longer she bakes, the better! Smile

Well, it sounds like a good appointment but a stubborn little girl Wink Hopefully she'll come soonish, or wait a bit past October 1st. No water breaking at the wedding Wink

Yeah for full term!!! I hope she does stay put for you. DS1 was a week and half early and everyone assured me that second babies always come sooner and faster than the first. I learned that there are no "always" in pregnancy! DS2 made me wait until his due date, little stinker!

Yay for a good appointment! Maybe now that's it's not as dramatic she's going to wait until her due date to come? That just sounds like a girly thing to do! Blum 3

Going past your due date isn't so bad :). I remember you saying early on you'd probably go over just because you had DS early so it would be unexpected. Maybe you called it then :).

I'm glad your appt went well and your cankles aren't a concern!

Well I'm glad she's still in there and everything's good! It gets so hard when you get to the point where you want her out because of how uncomfortable you are, but you know she needs a little longer!

I was thinking this morning and decided that it would be nice if she came on her due date, October 1st. That is the 1 year anniversary since my niece passed away and would give us something new to look forward to on that day than just dreading it. I know my sister has already been trying to prepare herself for that day so if Sophia is born on October 1st then it would be a happy time instead of a sad time not just this year, but every year afterwards. I'm getting so sentimental this morning. Smile This at least makes me not so anxious!

Sounds like a good appointment! Glad she didn't make an early appearance! Hopefully now that you're full term tho she won't stick around for TOO long lol
