Thread: 38 wk appt and bad bad day vent

So my 38 wk appt was fairly uneventful but we did agree on induction(breaking my water) on October 11th if I am still preggers at that point. I was hoping for a few days earlier but she isnt on call again until then and she wont do it before I am 39 weeks exactly. Other than that all is well so I should be thankful. And I was until...
I woke up after being in bed for an hour thinking that I had a tooth abscess, the whole top right of my mouth is in horrid pain and I can only open my mouth 1/2 inch. Well as the night progressed the pain moved up through my sinuses to my eye and past my temple on the side. I didnt know if I should goto the Dr or the dentist. Well I went the walkin clinic(after waiting for an hour with the boys for them to open) and I have a sinus infection. I thought I had had one of these before but I guess not, it is incredibly painful. And the only thing the Dr gave me was Tylenol with Codeine(and antibiotics) which isnt doing diddly. Then as I came out of the clinic and was loading the boys into the car a guy pulled up behind me and waited with his blinker on cuz he wanted my parking spot. I tried to hurry but my front bumper got caught on the parking block(which it has done like 10 times and I almost ripped my bumper off). So here I am crawling around on the ground trying to get it unstuck and getting inmy car to reverse a 1/2 inch at a time. So the A-hole starts honking at me!!! I was a nervous wreck, in pain, the boys were aggrivated and of course I am humongous! So after about 10 min the guy pulls into the handicap space beside me and gets out of his car and says "What the hell are you doing lady?" I pointed out the situation of the kids and pg and my broken car and said "why are you being such an ASSHOLE?" He said how he needed my space and called me stupid, I was just in shock that he was speaking to me that way! I finally got my car unstuck and left after calling him Asshole a couple more times. When I went around the corner of the building there were THREE open parking spaces, not 20 feet away from my spot! And the guy didnt even go in the building, he just wanted to sit in his car! I got his license # but supposedly I cant get his name. I dont want to vote him into public office or do business with him or something. (I also wouldnt mind badmouthing him all over town) The surprising part was that he wasnt your average scumbag, he was driving a brand new Toyota Highlander and was about 60 and very well dressed.
And...now my phone has decided not to work. Perfect timing huh?
I wish I could just goto bed but I am in sooo much pain I cant rest. I guess I just have to pray that the antibiotics work quickly. I am so thankful that DH is going to be home tonight and the weekend! Now I DONT want to go into labor, I cant imagine how horrible it would be to labor and push with this pain in my face!

Oh you deserve 20 big hugs and a huge box of chocolates for that hell of a day. So sorry to hear how terrrible it was! One of my pet peeves is people waiting for my parking space. Drives me up the wall! I hope you can finally get some rest this evening. Too bad we can't down a bottle of wine because that's what I would need after a day like that!

Ugh!!! I had a sinus infection at the end of my pregnancy with Ellie! As soon as you started describing what you were feeling I knew immediately that that had to be it. The antibiotics did wonders for me after just one day. In fact, the day after starting the antibiotics I went into labor, and the only pain I felt was from the labor itself. Sorry about the parking issue. People astound me sometimes.

Oh man. You have been through the wringer and back today! I can't imagine climbing around under my car as pregnant as we are with two kids in the car getting worried.. and a pain in the butt bothering me but not bothering to HELP me.. all with a sinus infection! You totally deserve to prop your feet up and eat an ice cream sundae. I'm thinking of you.

Sorry you had a bad, bad day. Hope you get some relief/rest. I'm spiteful so I would have just sat in my car until he drove off.

The only thing I can eat is liquids. I cant chew or barely open my mouth. I think a banana peanut butter milk shake is what's for dinner for me.
To top it off...I just talked to my Mom and my cousin Anthony who has been battling cancer for the last 3 1/2 yrs is being taken to Ohio State hospital in Columbus and it is likely that he wont come out. I want September to be over NOW!

Wow I am so sorry to hear about your day... that guy was an ASSHOLE! I hate people that wait on your spot like that as I often do stuff in my car before I go! I've had one sinus infection in my life and it took a month to clear up, the pain was pretty bad and it made life miserable. I think I had three different antibiotics and steroid nose spray before I finally kicked it. I hope you feel better soon and don't let the *dickhead get you down!

I'm sorry you had such an aweful day! I can't even imagine having a super bad sinus infection on top of being pregnant, hope the antibiotics help quickly. My thoughts and prayers are with your cousin.

Wow... That was a crappy day. I'm glad you have an end date though. I hope you heal super fast... being sick while preggo is just miserable.

I've been so irritable lately I probably would have ripped that guy a new one. I definitely wouldn't have let him have my space regardless of being able to move my car or not. I try to be respectful of others but that guy doesn't deserve respect from anyone.
