41 weeks today!!! UPDATED with Pics

Updated with new pics just for Jen lol41 week pic
I think I am the only one who is past there due date. I was due on Oct 1st and this little guy is still just chilling out. Showing no signs of being ready either lol His butt is still up just under my boobs, and he moves so much still. Makes me laugh when people ask how much longer, then when you tell them last week they take a step back. The longest I have gone before is 40+6 so this is officially the longest I have ever been pregnant Smile
Had my MW appt today, no dilation at all and he is still really high wasn't just in my imagination. She did a sweep but doubts it will do anything. She is coming back on Tuesday to do another one. If no luck then I am headed down the induction route.

OMG I sooooo remember that 41 wk appointment with DD. Miserable is what it is. I'd be in the same boat right now but when I came in on Wednesday Owen was having heart decels and they wouldn't let me leave. Hang in there mama, you'll be having a baby VERY soon!! Hopefully before they have to induce.

At least you were enjoying the end of your pregnancy. How are you feeling now? You've got such a great attitude about it all. Hope you don't have to have too many interventions. I know you really want that homebirth. What kind of "induction" can they do at home? Just break your water?

Hope he decides very soon to come on his own and you don't have to go the induction route!

Only induction method they can do at the min at home is a sweep. Did one today, no effect at all yet they are coming back Tues am to do another one. My cervix is soft but completely closed. So not looking good, I was dilated 2 weeks before with my other two lol trying to make arrangements for the girls if Thurs comes before baby does. Which is tricky but oh well.

Lindsey, feeling pretty good other than backache, and I find a wheat bag in the micro really helps. No contrax or any signs at all lol I do get pelvic pain if I walk too much during the day. But that is to be expected at this point lol

Emma... I so feel for you being 41 weeks... I had my first son at 41 weeks and was very miserable! Markus' pregnancy was also the first that I wasn't walking around 3cm+ dialated the last few weeks ... every pregnancy is different right? Have you tried eating pineapple? I ate a whole fresh one and went into labour that night with Clara (I also had it with my first son the night before - works for some women I think!) I hope it ends soon for you, can't wait to see pictures of this little one!

Ohhhh I so hope you're cervix kicks into gear so you can avoid the induction. I'm glad you're holding up though.

I've been there. I went to 42 weeks with Ds#4, that's when they finally induced me. Hope something happens so you are still able to have a home birth...

Yikes, I certainly hope you can avoid induction!! I think I would go insane if I went past my due date. Hang in there. Really, how much longer can it be?!?!

I think he knows that you didn't want this pregnancy to be over so he's sticking around as long as he can. Smile Keeping my fingers crossed you won't have to go the induction route and your LO makes an appearance soon!!

Oh and I demand a picture of your 41 week belly!!! Smile

LOL I had DH take a pic today I look sooooo tired in it. Will try and do it soon, haven't found my cable to do it on the iPad since we moved so will have to go on the laptop which I never do anymore lol

You are probably right Jen I did want him late lol Just don't want the induction, been there done that before. Plus as of right now I have no one to have my girls overnight eek.

Have tried pineapple, walking, spicy foods, sex etc...etc... nothing is making this kid move lol Even my 10yr old is sick of people asking her if I had him yet or not.

I delivered at 41 weeks with DD, I completely feel for you! Heck, I'll probably hit 41 this time too lol. I hope your body kicks into gear though and you still get your home birth. Ryan (iirc) mentioned a while ago that her Dr said third babies float around high until the end but then come fast once its time, so hopefully that's the case for you! I know my guy is still moving quite a bit. While I'm laying down he moves up so I can't breathe but after I'm walking or sitting he sinks way low .

Everyone says third ones mess around a lot lol. my MW said the same only he never comes down low. He's always high up. Even when sitting or walking his. butt is still way high. So no pressure on my cervix at all. I have had a gut feeling with this one for a long time, that things would end differently but hoped I was wrong.

Only gut feeling I had with the others was #2 that she would be late and she was 6 days late so we shall see.

I get another sweep Tues, maybe that will help, but in my gut I am not feeling it. After yesterday's I had no cramping, no bleeding no nothing. Induction has been booked for Thursday at 10am but dependent on finding overnight care for the girls Thurs night, might try and postpone it until Fri.

You're looking terrific :).

I had "the feeling" my DD was going to be late and I went to 41. I never had that with this one, but it looks like he's staying put too :p.
