Almost 32 wk appt yesterday

Good news! I passed my 3 hour Glucose test so no diabetes for me!!!!! But that was the only exciting thing at my appt. She measured me and listened to his HB, that is it. I couldve found out the test results on the phone. It just wasnt worth the 3 hour total round trip drive to the OB office. So I am really considering skipping some of my upcoming already scheduled visits. I am on every other week now and I think I will skip the next one making this stretch a month. Then it will goto every week and I will skip the second of those. So then it will just be the appt the week before my due date and the week of due date. It makes me a tiny bit nervous but I am looking really healthy right now and just so that keeps up I think it is safe. I think the only other important test is the Group B strep and I will be at the appt for that one. What do you gals think?
Besides all that I am ready to be done now. I am just getting to that uncomfortable all the time stage and my hips just kill me all the time!!!

Wow... that is a long trip! But YAY no GD!!!

I'm not sure what I would do in your shoes. I know one of the reasons the appts get closer together is because the risk of PreE is higher now. That is something you would certainly want to stay on top of.

I skipped a few in the beginning with the move and then the 16 day trip to GA. My drive is 42 miles one way, so I know how you feel. Of course yours is a little bit farther. Personally, I'm not sure I would skip any when they are only 1 week apart, but maybe stretching this one to a month wouldn't be too bad. Although, when I go to an OB appt, I just make that my one trip for that week for groceries and stuff. In the end, you have to do what makes you feel comfortable and spending the time and gas to drive that far just to check heart beat and urine is exhausting. Driving makes me irritable these days.

As long as things are going well I don't see why it would be a problem. My MW is pretty hands off (which I prefer) so I only have appts at 28, 32, 36, 38 and 40 weeks. Then they go weekly if you go past your EDD. That is of course assuming you're healthy, if things come up you would be seen sooner. My dr is an hour away, so I can sympathize!
