Thread: Appt yesterday

Hey guys. Still super busy and getting busier as the big move gets closer so I'll probably do a lot more lurking and less posting.

Had a doc appointment yesterday. I've gained 2 lbs and heartbeat was 146 bpm. Everything looks great. Go back on the 28th for the second part of the nuchal scan which will include gender determination. I can't believe in a little over 2 weeks we'll know the gender!

How exciting! I don't get to find out until 22 weeks, so I'm jealous . Good luck with the moving process and for a good appt!

Yay for a great apt!!! I can't believe that we are only weeks away from some of us finding out the gender. Time is going so fast.

I have a feeling but not saying because I don't want people to think I'm disappointed either way healthy is what we're going for lol

ETA- I had a 'feeling' when I was pregnant with DD too and I was correct, so.... I actually read somewhere that 'mothers intuition' about gender is correct something like 70% of the time (WAY more accurate than any other non-medical stuff!)

A pair of psychologists from the University of Arizona has completed a preliminary study on pregnancy and intuition showing that pregnant women can predict the gender of their babies on the basis of their intuition alone.

In a two-year study conducted at the Birth and Women's Health Center in Tucson, Arizona, Dr. Victor Shamas and Amanda Dawson asked 100 pregnant women to predict whether they would give birth to a girl or a boy. Women who claimed to have an intuition about the gender of their child made the right choice over 70 percent of the time.

I read that before too! My intuition was right with DS so we'll see with this one. The problem is I don't know if its intuition or just wishful thinking. I find out on May 2nd!!
