Baby dropping?

Is it too early for the baby to drop? I noticed yesterday that my belly was looking different and now when I sit down, I have a lot of pressure in my pelvic area. It feels like her head is pressing against my cervix. I know dropping doesn't mean that you will go into labor tomorrow, but it still makes me a little nervous since I had DS so early. I just realized today that I am only 5 weeks away from the point when I had DS. I don't ever remember dropping with DS so I have no clue what to look for or what it feels like. I took my weekly picture today and compared it to last weeks and I think I see a difference in how low my belly is, but it could all be in my head. What do you think? Thankfully I go to the doctor every 2 weeks now so I'm planning on asking her next week at my appt.

You definitely look lower to me. It is funny though as I said to DH today I felt lower today and different, and definitely feeling it too. Also had two people today say 'you look ready to pop' they about fell over when I said 11 more weeks lol I do remember dropping with the girls but have no clue when. But I am also carrying this one very differently and lower all the way through. Where my girls were higher in the beginning.

I'm glad to know it's not just all in my head then. LOL! I am carrying her much lower already than I did DS so I probably never noticed when he dropped.

Could she have shifted position (From transverse to head down or breach to head down..etc)? I know that changes how your belly looks too. I look about the same as your picture from today. I've never dropped with any of my babies, but definitely get a "different" looking belly every so often. Wink

Isn't that shirt so comfy!? That's what I'm wearing today..I own 5 of them and it's basically the only thing I wear..:)

I know that she was breech, but as of my last u/s a couple of weeks ago, she is now head down. Hopefully she didn't flip back to breech again! My doctor had already said that she would do one last u/s just to make sure she is still head down toward the end of my pregnancy so we'll see.

I do love this shirt. It is the only one I have though and I think it's starting to get too small. LOL! I need to go buy some more!

Looks like she's moved, though I'm not sure about dropped. I read somewhere that you don't actually drop in any pregnancy after your first until you've already gone into labor. If that's true, I sure hope you haven't dropped Wink I'd love to hear what your doctor has to say!

Definitely looks like a different shape. Such a cute belly. Yay for a growing baby.

I think it looks like a different shape too. You have a super cute preggo belly though. Smile

Your belly definetly is a different shape, although still very cute. I think she's probably just moved into a different position.

I've been getting a ton of pressure too, it sucks! I agree that baby Sophia probably just shifted positions. Not saying that she's breech again, but maybe she's just facing a different direction. They say only your first baby drops, I wouldn't worry about it :). But of course ask your Dr about it!

are you wearing a different bra? maybe your boobs are a bit higher proppep too? LOL

but you look lower, she could just be laying side ways across the bottom. I dont think its too early to drop, you might still have to wait it out!

btw- they can continue to flip until you deliver, so I wouldnt worry about her position. And they can always manual move babies is she was stuck breech at delivery day!

Not a different bra. LOL! Good thinking though.

She probably did move into a different position. I noticed her movements last night were much lower then usual and she seemed to be moving on just my right side. I'm going to bring it up to my doctor though and see if she can tell what position she is in. I guess I'm just starting to get nervous that I may have another early baby and I have absolutely nothing ready!

Definitely looks like it! I know this LO is already low in my pelvis but I have carried him pretty low the entire time. I feel alot of pressure down there so I know he has already dropped.
