Well, I am finally home. Kai is absolutely perfect. If you can believe it he slept from 12:30-7:30 our first night home! He is just a sleepy head. I have to really work to keep him awake long enough to eat. We just got home yesterday afternoon. We had to stay an extra 48 hours in the hospital. After 24 hours Kai started having high temps, 100-100.4 that they were concerned might mean he had an infection. That was really the only sign but I figured it was better to be safe than sorry. I think the antibiotics helped though because he is doing much better now. So they discharged me but I got to stay in my same room to care for him. DH took care of the big boys and stayed in a special house they have for family close to the hospital. It was good for me since I got a couple extra days to recover and enjoy just being with Kai. I have not written my birthstory yet but I will soon I promise. DH had his laptop but kept "forgetting" to bring it to the hospital for me.
The short version is that Kai was born 7 hours after they broke my water (4 hours after a tiny bit of pitocin). He was 9.2 and 21 2/2 inches long. I only had two stitches and am still in shock that they labor was so quick and easy! I am sooo sooo happy to be holding this angel in my arms now and I think my recovery is going to be pretty quick, I feel great for just having a baby! More later, love to all you wonderful ladies, Jules

Congrats! Glad you're home and everything turned out okay with the high temps. I will say that having to go bacl to the hospital 3 days after Kessler was born was actually nice since he slept so well under the lights and all I really could do was rest. Not much else to do in a hospital room.
Congrats and so happy that his temp went down! Can't wait to see pics and hear all about his birth!
