    Default Baby monitor suggestions

I know we have kinda discussed this before because I remember alot of you saying you like the angel care monitor. I really don't want that one though because I don't like to hear every single movement and am not to worried since I will have him right next to me. I tried the Sony babycall monitor and hated it! You could hear everything in the house. Way to sensitive and it kept beeping out of range probably because we have a large house.

So... anyone have a monitor that they love? and whats the pros and cons of it. I was thinking about a video monitor because I would rather see him then hear him. But I could do both on a video. Anyways... curious as to what you ladies have or like???

I have the summer infant handheld and really like it. I have some static sometimes, but I think any monitor would probably have it. I just have to shift it on the table and it's fine. I leave the video off, and then if I hear anything I can turn it on. So I can see if I need to actually go to their room or not.

The only thing I use the baby monitor for is when we're outside - unless you have a humungous house - you'll be able to hear the baby! I don't even know which one we have but it works for when we go in the hottub or are hanging outside. So I would just make sure the range is good. If i Had a video one I would just sit and stare at it all the time and get paranoid. But that's just my opinion.

Yeah but on the same token, with this being a second baby, I'm thinking we'll be up in the play room or outside a lot more while he's sleeping than I was when S was a baby, so a monitor is more likely to be used. Plus, I want to be able to hear if (heaven forbid) S breaks out of her room in the middle of the night and into O's room.

Same here! Plus you don't have to have the clicks on. I never have them on because it would drive me insane! I loved it with DS and DD and I'm sure I'll feel the same this time .
