    Question Bath time!

Does your baby love the bath or hate it? Conor screams bloody murder in the bath - we actually call bath time torture time >.>. If your baby loves it, give me some suggestions on how to make it better for him! I've tried warmer water, cooler water, doing the bath super fast.. What's your secret?

BTW, DD hated the bath, too!

We have always done showers as soon as the umbilical cord falls off. Super quick super easy and all three of my kids loved it. Also none of them have had issues putting there faces in the water for swimming when older. I just make sure to do it when DH is home he goes in and I hand him the baby lol I find it way easier than bathing them.

Have you tried making sure he has something on him like a large washcloth across his tummy so he doesn't feel naked or feel the air on him, just a thought. Good luck.

Gillian is starting to like her baths. I drape a washcloth over her to help keep warm, and sing songs. Now it's just after bath that she doesn't like.

We use the Bath Luve Frog and Sophia enjoys her bath with it. If I forget to put it on her, she starts screaming!

Thanks for the idea, we're going to try a thicker wash cloth to see if it helps!

I go in the tub every night with Clara and after she's all washed Chris will hand me Markus. We play in the tub together for a bit... Clara loves to help wash "deedee". Markus loves the bath... sometimes I nurse him in there as well which is so relaxing! Have you tried going in the bath?

My sister works in the NICU and they do "swaddle baths". It's like what most people have said as far as a wash cloth over the baby but with a swaddle bath, you wrap a receiving blanket or even a hooded towel all the way around the baby and put baby in the baby bath. You don't have to truly swaddle, but just wrap all the way around. Helps them feel like they are still secure. We did this for a while and now as long as I catch Kessler in a decent mood when we start the bath, he's starting to like it more even without the security of the wrap.

I've always just taken my babies in the shower with me. If DH is available I have him hand him to me after about 15 minutes so I can shower first if he's not available I sit him in an old infant carrier in his diaper and sing to him until I'm ready for him. It's warm and steamy so none of them have had a problem with it.
