Thread: Boring appt today!

So I had my first boring prenatal appt today. LOL! I realized that this was the first appt. where I didn't have an u/s. Urine and blood pressure looked normal, baby's heart rate is 148 bpm and she even kicked the doppler. I got the ok from my OB to do the birth photography, apparantely she is a really big fan of it! So it is now officially booked with the photographer.

They scheduled my glucose test for July 11th. Yuck! Good news is that they have changed the test now. Instead of the one hour non-fasting (which I failed with DS) and then the 3 hour fasting if you fail the one hour, they now do a two hour fasting and if you fail it then you have GD so no need for additional testing. Thank goodness because I was pretty sure I would fail the one hour if I had to do it again.

So that was my first boring appt!!!

I have an appt tomorrow and I am sure it'll be boring as well.

Well boring is good unfortunately!! I wish we got an u/s every time! With DS I had lots of u/s too, but this LO is just standard. I swear I am the only one who actually likes the drink for the glucose test! lol, The fruit punch is yummy!

Glad everything is good. I like the fruit punch too but the orange one is horrible.

I've only had the orange. Have never been able to drink an orange drink again! Haha! Hopefully they have the fruit punch.

Gotta love boring appointments My doctor lets me take home the terrible orange drink so I can have it cold cold COLD over ice.. which makes it more tolerable

last time I did the glucose test I passed out and was taken to the hospital, so I am not looking forward to it at all!

I'm with Aimee, I kinda like the drink. I've only had the orange but they do keep it really cold, so maybe that's the difference. I hate doing the test though because my blood sugar crashes and I feel like passing out! The numbers from the test are always really low. Sorry you actually did pass out Kate!
