What is the usual time frame for the first visit to the ped after leaving the hospital? Last time I got out of the hospital on a Sun & the ped had us make an appt for Mon. This time I may get out on Fri. Trying to plan my DH's days off... any ideas?
Usually if you are considered "early discharge", as in you leave the hospital within 24-48 hours of the birth, then they typically want you to schedule an appointment in the next day or two. Then there is usually another one when the baby is 2 weeks old. So, if you get out on a Friday they will likely want to see the baby over the weekend (if your office is open then), or possibly mon at the latest.
Sorry can't help I can't remember that far back, my DD who was born in the US is 10now lol Here if I have him at home like my last DD then my Dr comes to the house within 24 hours then all my midwife visits are at home. Hey there are not many benefits to living here but those are a couple of them lol
DS went when he was 7 days old so that was 2 days after he got out of the hospital. I can't believe I actually remember that!
DS - Stephen 7/5/06 (born 6 weeks early)
