Callan Arthur is finally here
Hi Ladies!
Just a quick update. Callan was born on the 4th at 1:39 am and weighed 7lbs 5oz. I started having contractions at 4pm after the midwife did a membrane sweep that morning. We got to the hospital around 6 and was checked at 7pm. I was 5 cm and he was still floating in my pelvis. Got into a room and got settled in. I was checked again at 9 pm and was now 6cm and 50%. I bounced on the ball and relaxed the best I could. Around 11pm they filled the birthing pool and I could finally get in. I was still 7 cm and now 80% and -2. I was happy that he finally dropped some. The contractions were getting much stronger and harder to work through but I was managing. At 1:22am I was checked and I was still 7cm 100% and 0 station. The midwife broke my water to help things progress. I had one contraction right after she broke my water and then by the time the next contraction hit. I was standing next to the bed saying I needed to push. Quickly got in the tub and a couple more contractions he was born at 1:39am. It was so quick I had a hard time wrapping my head around it when it was happening. We are so excited that he is finally here.
