Thread: Finished 1st HypnoBirthing class today

I was really nervous about our 1st class since we were the only couple in the class, but I loved it. My dad is a hypnotherapist and I've been put under before so I wasn't scared about trying any of those techniques just more worried how DH would react to it. Our instructor is wonderful and found out that she is even writing a book on natural childbirth. She gave me a button that says "meconium happens" which I thought was hilarious, but poor DH just didn't get it until I had to explain to him what meconium is. LOL!

Our 1st class mainly consisted on the history of childbirth and she tried a suggestability test which DH failed. The 2nd test, she had us hold a pendulum above our palm and willing it to move left to right, front to back, and in a circle without actually moving our wrist or hand. I was able to do it really easy which showed her that I'm highly suggestable, but DH failed again. LOL! Probably sounds all weird, but it was mainly a test for her to see how well this technique will work for me. We then watched 2 HypnoBirthing births which was amazing!! I am really looking forward to our next class!

That is so exciting for you both! I hope it will got wonderfully. Going to start the home study for hypnobabies next week can't wait.
