I have the rock n play and that's where E sleeps and his head is fine. he does co-sleep about half the night too though. He needs the inclline for a runny nose a lot of the time too. He usually sleeps about 8-10 hours a day total in the rock n play probably. I have no idea if the different styles matter or not but I have the white and blue one. I think it's white and blue...
He doesn't spend time in the car seat though (because I don't have an infant one, so I wear him everywhere) and I hold him a lot. He sits in the high chair when we're playing/doing stuff and sits in the bumbo about 10 minutes a day. I don't usually lay him in the floor to play because of the girls and we have dogs. I never put the girls down much and they crawled on time/early so I'm not terribly worried about that.
My DD2's head is such a weird shape. Like REALLY round. I asked the dr. about it once and she said it was probably because we didn't put her down often and I wore her so much. But it could just be her weird head shape too.
All three of mine have only ever slept on there backs, and when little head not even to the side. We have never had any problems, and I am rubbish at tummy time lol I wear Callan quite often and he loves sitting on my knee watching everything, he is soooooo nosy. He does spend a lot of time in his infant car seat too, with two older ones at school in different places it is a lifesaver. He would never sleep during the day without it lol
annmarie - that makes me feel better knowing someone else's child slept a lot in thje rock-n-play....kessler is held a lot and gets some tummy time per day. he actually prefers to be held facing out. from the sound of it it doesn't seem like i've done much different. idk...here's a pic... maybe he's just got a lumpy head. It doesn't look as bad as some of the pics I've seen after I googled it.
No flat head here, but I must admit that Caleb is a belly sleeper (I know bad mama! J/K ). But he sleeps in his crib right next to our bed and has an angel care movement monitor so it makes me feel better about it lol. I was going to get one of those rock and plays but didn't because of all the flat head warning reviews they got. Now I wish I had since it got fixed!
