I'm being a crybaby!

My baby started Kindergarten today! Sad It seems just like yesterday I was pregnant with him and awaiting his arrival. I didn't cry when we dropped him off, but I couldn't stop it when I got home. I'm such a crybaby!! LOL!

Here's my baby ready for his 1st day!

I know how you feel.....school started here today also and my youngest started ALL DAY pre-k.........he will be 4 in Nov. Anyway I got him to his classroom and got ready to leave and looked back at him and he was all teary eyed so I went out to the truck and bawled my eyes out.

Awe!! DH and I watched through the window and he just sat there coloring. I'm so happy that we put him in daycare at a young age. I think that really helped with any separation anxiety. Of course, its all new right now so he may be clinging to me and crying when the newness wears off!

I'm not looking forward to that day :(. Sounds like you did awesome waiting until the car! I'm so scared I'm going to have to be escorted off the premises for bawling and scaring the kids!

OMG DS#1 is moving up next week from the 3 year old room to the 4 year old room at daycare and I've already started crying .... that's what Mom's are supposed to do. I can't believe you didn't cry when you dropped him off - I'd be a mess!

I saw other mom's crying and I almost lost it, but I just held the tears back the best I could. I actually started getting teary eyed when we first pulled up in the parking lot so I thought for sure that I was going to lose it as soon we walked to the classroom. I think I shocked myself. I just keep looking at the clock thinking about what he is doing right now. He will be having lunch in 30 minutes....in the cafeteria!!! Crazy that it's the same cafeteria that I ate lunch in when I was a child. That just makes it even more special to me. Smile

Awww... what a great milestone even though it's a tough one. If you didnt have a baby on the way you would definitely be craving one now!

I agree with having kids in daycare before because kindergarden isn't as hard.MY DS just moved up to the next classroom in daycare and he is having a hard adjustment, so I can relate!

Hope he had a fun day!!!

You're a brave mama! I am going to be a complete and utter wreck. I was having an emotional night and was actually crying about DS going to school 2 years from now lol. I agree it's probably easier on everyone for LO to go to day care first!

DD1 started preschool last Thursday. She had a fantastic time. Today was her second day, again, had the best time ever. When DH and I took her on Thursday he broke down when she went in the room but I held it together until we pulled out of the parking lot. I asked her when I picked her up if she missed me and she said 'nope!" hahahaha.
She's never been to daycare, or been away from me at all. No one has ever watched her except my mom and MIL either. So I don't think not going to daycare means they'll have a hard time.
I think I would have been sad even if she'd been going to daycare. Because it wasn't so much that she wasn't with me anymore so much that she was old enough to go to school. I'm sure I'll be sad every year she starts school for one reason or another. Wink

Yeah Cole has never been to daycare.....even this past 19 months that I've been doing this by myself he hasnt been to daycare, either my mom or brother has watched him.

This am was much worse as he clung to me and screamed his head off. His teacher said he cried all of 5 min after I left the room but it sucked to leave him like that.

Awe! That is so sweet that your DH broke down. I think sometimes us mommy's are just much tougher so we can help the men get through everything. LOL! I think the whole daycare thing just really depends on the child. DS had terrible separation anxiety when we first put him daycare and clinged to us and cried for months when we dropped him off. I never thought he would get over it and even now he would do that every now and then. The daycare teacher would have to pry him off of us. I'm a little nervous that he will start doing that again once the newness wears off and that will break my heart. Sad

Probably sounds stupid, but I've always wondered if DS birthing experience and not being able to bond with me immediately after birth is the reason why he has always had really bad separation anxiety. Maybe I'm just crazy, but I've always thought about that! LOL!
