While this question wasn't directed at me... I thought I'd answer anyways!
I had a CS and was wearing DD in a mei tai carrier (baby hawk) when she was around 2 weeks. I probably could have done it sooner but DH was home so I didn't really need to at that point. It is tied around your waist much higher than your incision and baby doesn't weight much at all at that point, even though my DD was "big" at just under 9 lbs. HTH! And FWIW baby wearing was a life saver with a very tiny older sibling! I couldn't turn my back for even a second with her down because he was just so little! He was great with her, but there's no way to be sure he wasn't going to try and feed her something or be sweet and try to give her hugs... you know.
I loved my baby hawk. The only thing it doesn't have is the little hood thing that the ergos have. But I always just covered her with a receiving blanket when we were out and she fell asleep. They have so many patterns and colors, they're just adorable! The website is www.babyhawk.com.
I honestly can't remember...I would guess 2 weeks too for the same reasons stated above.I used a k'tan, which is like a prewrapped moby. I'll probably try to wear Egan 2 weeks in too because I want to do a little trick or treating with the girls. I know I won't make it the whole way around the neighborhood, but that's my plan right now.
Then I use my beco after they have really good head control..like 4 months-ish or so.
I honestly didn't get overwhelmed until Rowynn refused to be worn around 11 months or so.I can't wait to have another one I can wear and not have to chase TWO kids.
I was just saying yesterday how nice it will be to go to the store with the two littles while Fiona is in preschool. As long as you have a newborn that sleeps well and a toddler that naps I found the transition from 1-2 really easy. My DH did completely take over care for Fiona for about the first 3 or 4 days I was home, so that was nice. He also made sure we were all fed when he was at home. That was really the toughest thing, was fixing food.
