They are sending me to L&D again for sudden swelling in my hands and face. I checked my blood pressure and its 130/88 which is high for me.
Hugs mama! Hope they can bring down your bp and baby bakes just a bit longer.

My October Space
I'm home now. My blood pressure was 145/94 when I got to l&d so they had me leave a urine sample, hooked me to the monitors, and checked my blood pressure every 10 minutes. My BP started going down and when it was 100/70, they decided to send me home. This is the first time I have been disappointed in the hospital. I feel like they kind of dismissed my concerns and never gave me an explanation for the sudden swelling and high BP. They ended up not sending my urine to the lab and just did the little strip test instead. The on call doctor said that swelling is no longer a reason for preeclampsia. What about swelling that showed up overnight? Ugh! So now I just kind of feel like crap and really tired. I'm probably just going to sleep the rest of the day.
Nothing is worse than feeling like noone is listening... Definitely frustrating. I'm assuming the strip test didn't show any protein in your urine. ?? Stay on top of your symptoms. Hopefully the swelling is just a frustrating symptom of late pregnancy with no complications. I did read some good advice... Take a pre pg or pre swelling pic with you to the hospital/Dr for comparison. It is easier to see dramatic differences in pics rather than in person. *hugs*
