at l&d now

My 36w appointment was today and id dilated another centimeter after a very rough morning of what felt like my stomach was torn up. So I was almost a 5 last visit and almost a 6 this one but baby is still -2, which is good.

They are going to monitor me for 2 hours and see if these contractions I am having now are goinggoing to do anything.

But it is looking more and more like he will be here sooner rather than later and I just hope he is healthy since little white boys statistically mature slower than the others.

He should be just fine, but hopefully he'll bake for just another week. Smile DS was born at 34 weeks and he did great! You're at the mark now where my doctor was trying to get me to have a healthy baby. Good luck and KUP!

Good luck! I'm sure he'll be healthy now, but hopefully he'll keep baking another week or two. KUP!

I have to agree the odds are really great at 36w. My doctor had an intern shadowing him today at my 34 week appointment and he told her
"You know what's great about 34 weeks is that 80% of babies have full lung maturity. So at this point if something were to happen like severe pre eclampsia or water breakage, the patient has good odds."

I hope everything turns out well!

Good Luck! KUP on how things go. Perhaps we will have our first Pumpkin Pie baby this week! My sis works in NICU and most babes born @ 36w don't have to stay too long. If you can make it another week you'll be "full term!"

KUP! 36 weeks isn't bad, but hopefully he'll decide to take his time a little longer.

Good Luck! My MD told me after 35 weeks they wouldn't stop mine, and that even at 33 weeks 90% of babies do really well. So at 36 you should be alright! I hope everything is well!!!! KUP!!!

My "little white boys" were born at 31 weeks and are both perfectly healthy Smile Although I hope he hangs out for another week so you'll be "term"

Also DD was born at 36 weeks and went home with me 48 hours later. She was perfectly healthy.....even ate a full 4 oz just minutes after birth.

Am home now. Nothing was progressing so I get to go home and see what will happen.
I see the doc again on Thursday and hopefully I wont have any more real contractions between now ans then.

I guess it is just a waiting game now to see when he will decide to make his appearance.

it can be so frustrating to just be waiting! I'm glad your home, and I hope you can relax enough to just let things happen and not be stressed about when little boy is going to decide to be born.

I'm glad baby is staying put for just a bit longer! I was 6-7 cm before I went into labor with my 3rd, so hopefully you can still make it another week!

Wow! All I remember about 7cm was me screaming! lol. I had a friend who was at a full 9.5cm when she painlessly walked into L&D because she felt some pressure, but didn't feel she needed to push yet.

Yikes! Hope your little guy can keep baking for a bit! I'm glad you're home, try to get some rest!

Maybe try crossing your legs until you hit 37w? J/K!
