Well we may just have an October baby come a little early as my OB said he will most likely induce me next Wednesday! My SPD is so severe I can barely walk and I'm on pain meds ... I pretty much have my feet up all day. Since I had a csection with the twins in 2000 I'm not allowed any type of induction medication (like pitocin) and can only have my water broken. So the plan is to break my water and then I have 2-3 hours to labour on my own and if I don't it's off to a csection. I don't mind to have a csection since I've had one before and honestly, I'm in such horrendous pain now a csection and recovery will be a walk in the park. Of course it all depends on whether L&D is not super crazy and if my cervix is favourable but he said bring our bags (we are an hour from the hospital)... I know he wants to see me delivered. We are concerned with the distance from the hospital and my csection scar and my last birth was under 2 hours... just too many concerns. As well we are worried if the baby gets any bigger it will damage my pelvis even more as we are hoping I won't need surgery to correct it after our baby is born.
Everything else is good, b/p was 102/62, urine and all that normal. Big shocker, for the first time I am GBS-!!!! I couldn't believe it since I'm always positive for GBS. They have a stupid rule here that you have to have one hour of IV antibiotics before you can get your epidural (and last time I missed the epidural) so I won't have to deal with that again He said the plan is to break my water, do my IV and epidural right away and see how things go. I'm suffering from PTSD from my last birth so I am very happy to have an OB that is trying to do things as monitored and as comfortable as possible.
wow! good luck!!!!

that's exciting. You'll be so close to 40 weeks, so that's great that you were able to keep going this long. I know the feeling of being an hour away from the hospital. Slightly nervous about that part. At least you've got a well thought out plan and your dr. knows your history. KUP on any new developments!
That sounds like a great plan!! Are you at all dilated now?
