I seriously planned on doing this just for the baby so that is why I'm calling it nesting. LOL! I wanted the baby to be able to play a nice clean floor instead of dirty stained carpet. We had our carpet for only 4 years, but I guess having a 5 year old, it is next to impossible to keep carpet clean. This is just our formal living room and dining room. We are still working on the family room. The before picture is obviously after we ripped the carpet out.

OMG I. LOVE. wood floors!!! LOVE them! We've always had carpet because we rent and it's so freakin nasty. I bought a steam cleaner a few years back and would steam clean our carpets two - tree times a month and they would STILL be nasty.
The house we're looking at renting in Tennessee has carpet in the bedrooms and pergo/laminate everywhere else.

I love wood floors! Sometime in the near future, hopefully.
It looks great!

It looks fabulous! I agree with the carpet problem. It's just so hard to keep clean. I get obsessive about carpets. So glad we only have them in bedrooms in this house.
Thanks! The floors we chose are actually bamboo. We were going to go with laminate, but I fell in love with the bamboo and just had to have it. We do still have carpet upstairs, but upstairs does not get as much traffic as our downstairs. We're only up there when it's time to sleep. I'll have to update with a picture of our family room either today or tomorrow when we're finished putting all our furniture back in.
