Naps?

How many/how long are the naps these days? We have two about 45 minute ones in the morning, then a 2-4 hour one midday, then up to 3 little catnaps.

Sophia takes about 2-3 2 hour naps at daycare and 3 30-45 minute cat naps at home. I can never get her to take a long nap at home. She did take a 4 hour nap yesterday though, but that was after her shots.

Brenna takes two little cat naps in the morning (sometimes only 20 minutes) and about a 2 hour nap in the afternoon and one more cat nap in the evening. She is not a great napper but a delightful sleeper at night so I will take it.

We're all over the place with naps. Sometimes he sleeps more in morning and cat naps later in the day and vice versa. Usually I try to follow at least the nap, eat, "play", and repeat routine. Most of the time this cycles every 3 hours. Sometimes shorter sometimes longer.

I try to follow that routine as well, but I've noticed that for better sleep, it's nap, eat, play, eat. I think she just needs a full full stomach for longer periods, and since she is so small, I have no worries nursing her as much as she wants rather than even attempt to strictly follow any routine or schedule.

Conor will nap for about 20 mins in the morning, and about 2.5 hours in the afternoon. Sometimes in the afternoon or early evening he'll take another 20min-60min nap. He's not the world's best napper!

All three of my kids have been fabulous sleepers at night, but lol if I laid any of them down in there bassinet or crib during the day they would never sleep just cry. So I never fought it, you have to pick your battles lol well at least I do. Hence we, sleep well it just depends. Callan will fall asleep most mornings when I take the girls to school/preschool. So this would normally be a 20-40 min nap sometimes though he stays awake and on weekends we don't go out that early so he doesn't. Then he will maybe nap on me after feeding for a bit. If out in the stroller he may take an hour or two nap then in his car seat again lol Basically no schedule it varies dramatically daily dependent on what we do and how much carseat or stroller time he has lol

CJ's naps fall around Brandon's preschool schedule. He usually naps in the morning for an hour after we drop Brandon off. Then both boys take a long nap around 2. CJ will sleep anywhere from 2-4 hours. Then CJ has another nap in the early evening, usually about an hour.

Both my boys are pretty good nappers. Brandon is almost 5 an he still takes 2-hour naps.

No set schedule here. He usually takes a long one in the morning and a long one in the afternoon though... and then some shorter ones here and there...

Emma - naps don't happen anywhere except for on me or in her carseat. I'm not pushing the issue until she decides she doesn't want to be swaddled to sleep anymore, which if she follows her sisters lead will be a while from now.

Dana I have to say I love napping with him laying in my arms. The housework will still be there in 2 years but my baby won't be a baby then Smile

Caleb prefers nap, eat, play, eat too, but he is anything but small. He's definitely a super chunk and I have a feeling as to why :p.

Caleb just hit his 3 month growth spurt so his sleep is all out of whack. No 2 days have been the same this week with his naps. He's been mainly doing 20 minute cat naps all day and then a more substantial nap around 4(an hour 2 if I'm lucky). Poor kid is so sleepy but he just cant stay down! Any little peep my 2 noisy toddlers make and he pops right up!
