Oh Em Gee!!

There is already a birth story posted on the September board! I know I say it all the time, but this is really going by way too fast. I told DH over lunch that after class on Saturday, my goal is to get everything I need to pack my hospital bag. I had promised myself that I would have it packed by 32 weeks, which will be Saturday, but I am so stressing that it's not packed yet. Hard to believe that I could have my angel in my arms 2-4 weeks from now! I say 2 weeks because that is when I had DS, but the goal is 36 weeks so we can bring her home. Watch, I pass 40 weeks and nothing! LOL!

wow! I still feel so far away. Guess that's not really true, but that's just me in denial.

I'm still in denial too. I think the fact that we're STILL living in a hotel and I have bought VERY few baby things is helping that denial Biggrin

I think it'll hit me the first weekend in September when I get the nursery set up...

I'm in denial too, otherwise, my bag would have been packed weeks ago and the nursery would be done! LOL! All we have in the nursery is a changing table and glider.

I'm still in denial... With DD1 she roomed with me so once she was delivered, she was with me. This time, DD2 is in the NICU so my time with her is so much more limited and unless I am there with her, it doesn't seem real.

I know the feeling! DS was born at 34 weeks and in the NICU too so I have no clue what it feels like to have the baby actually room with you. I'm hoping to have that experience this time, but this LO is starting to get impatient too just like her brother. Congrats on the arrival of your baby girl! Smile Did they say when she may be able to come home?

Yikes!!! I can understand you feeling it flying towards you.

I feel like it's going to be forever. Already hugely uncomfortable. Ack!!!

Hmm... I haven't even been letting myself think about it! I feel like if I get ready too soon he's going to be late. But maybe if I put everything off and don't think about it he'll feel like it's his idea and he'll come earlier lol. That sounds crazy out loud....

I saw this! Crazy! I am actually thinking about holding out on getting some stuff done in hopes that LO will come sooner. Like last time, I decided not to take my 38 week belly pic until the next day and sure enough he came the next day. Sometimes I think if your to prepared, it seems like forever until the day. We should all start predicting our due dates and see how far off we are!

It was the opposite with DS! I was already competely done by 30 weeks and he came early so I was thankful I was prepared. Now I'm taking my time and I bet she ends up taking her time. LOL! Everybody keeps predicting September 9th for me so we'll see if they are right. I'll be 37 weeks by then so that would actually be perfect!

I hope you do goto 40 weeks but it is better to be prepared. It is good for me mentally to be ready for anything but then the waiting kills me! I dont normally have patience for this type of thing, I am starting to get anxious which is not good this early on!

It would be cool if you had a 9/10/11 baby! I am thinking 9/17 for me. That's only 10 days early. That would put me at exactly 38 weeks which is when I had DS.

A Halloween baby would be fun, but going 2 weeks over scares the heck out of me. Don't they talk about the risks of CP and other issues being greater over 40 weeks?

Two of my boys were over due (by OB dates) and are/were both fine. Cameron (DS #3) was due April 21st.....was born on the 30th absolutely perfect. Cole (DS #4) was due Nov 3rd and I was induced on Nov 15th in the evening so he was born Nov 16th at 1259 am. He also was perfectly healthy. Now I do say by their dates because my first US with Cole at 6ish weeks we just saw a sac no HB so she put my due date as Nov 21st however 4 weeks later he was measuring alittle over 12 weeks sooooooooooo she changed it back to the 3rd which was my due date by LMP.

My boys were never stressed and I know they say the chances of them having a BM in utero or your placenta deteriorating goes up post dates but neither happened with any of my pregnancies.

40 weeks is just the "average" gestational age babies are born. Pregnancies between 37 and 42 weeks are very normal, it's not even considered a post date pregnancy until after 42 weeks. You just don't see many of them anymore because induction rates are so high :). Now that being said... I was joking, I'd rather have this LO well before 42 weeks! It's the pits going over your due date!

I remember with DD I was 5 days over when I had her. Every hour after your due date feels like a week. It really is miserable mentally & physically.

:lurk: Lurker from Aug 11

I am 5 days over due today. I have 4 more days to suffer through and if he doesnt come now then I will be induced or a Csec on the 11th (long story on that) but either way he is coming by the 11th!
And yes, each day feels like an eternity.
