Pounding heart???

Anyone having trouble getting to sleep at night because your heart is pounding? I know that our hearts are pumping more blood, but I could actually feel it through my teeth last night and now I have a terrible headache that I cannot get rid of! Sad Don't know if the headache is related, but this sucks!

I think it's not only blood volume but also hormones. I get this once in awhile. Are you drinking caffeine within 6 hours before bed? I think sometimes that can aggravate it.

I don't drink caffeine, but I think it was worse last night because I got all worked up over this horrible woman saying terrible things to my sister on facebook about my niece that passed away. It must have been my addrenaline pumping from wanting to pound the woman in the face and no way to do it. LOL!

I had it when my breathing was bad, it was horrible. Not sure if it would help but I added spatone (iron supplement) to my diet and upped natural iron also. Has really helped.

the weird thing about hearing your heart pounding is that it doesn't mean your heart is beating faster than normal, the fact that you're hearing/feeling it is this odd thing that happens sometimes... aside from watching your iron intake, try to do some breathing exercises before laying down, that may also help.
