Thread: Rough week - Vent

Ok sorry for venting but it has been a really rough week here.
I found out this week a friend of mine in AZ who's only son will be 4 in July has been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The rarest and most severe of all the different types of MD, outlook is not great. She had him prematurely after struggling to conceive, and he has had therapy daily since almost birth anyways. She also recently lost her Mom to cancer and this week her DH was told he needs to find a new job too.

On Sunday a local as in 5 mins away, well known family were found murdered in there house. The police believe it was a business partner whom left a suicide note at his home. They have not found him yet. It was the parents and the two daughters age 11 and 18. Although we were not close they were known well in the community and the girls were lovely and very talented. Explaining this all to a 9yr old was not easy to do.

Combine all this with being hormonal well you can imagine ughhhh..

I am sorry you are having such a hard week. It is tough when things hit so close to home.

Yikes, that's a lot. I'm sorry to hear you're having a rough week.

I am sorry all this affecting you so much. We have had a couple tragedies here lately as well, one a family we didnt know but it involved a little 3 yrold girl and a good friend who's 2 yrold was terribly mauled by a large dog and is still hospitalized 3 weeks later. These things just hang in my mind and disturb me to no end. I think it is harder on us now because our hormones are conditioning us to be more sympathetic and protective of all little ones right now(not just our own). It all just makes me soooo sad though.
