Shopping!!!

So I got a bunch of baby shopping done this weekend. It's so fun when your getting close to delivery and it's time to get everything you need! I had most stuff from DS so I didn't get to have as much fun as the first and it doesn't look like there will be any babyshower so I am on my own with anything I need or want. I decided to get a few extras this time that I didn't get with my first. I really wanted a new swing but I don't think I can justify having a working swing and spending $100 on a new one just yet.
Anyways... my most favorite thing I got that I didn't need was the newborn rock n play. It got really good reviews and looks like a newborn lifesaver! DS never liked to lay flat so I thought I'd try this...

Had to get this halloween sleeper I got the dracula one (so cute!!!)

I also got some must haves like an extra carseat base, some lily padz... playtex bottles,
a sony monitor, but might exchange it for a video monitor. An organic play pin sheet. Myfirst moby wrap and thinking about getting the Coach Scribble diaper bag. I also got a glider a few months ago which I didnt have last time. I of course have tons of clothes for the first 6 months that I picked up along the way with one that says "little brother" on it.

I think I am almost ready!!!!!:yahoo:

I'm also embarrassed to admit that the diaper bag is already packed and ready!

We are getting the newbron rock and sleep too! my MIL is getting it for us, looks like a great item! and I like that its up off the floor, we love bouncy seats here, but with the dog, its nice to have a safe place for baby not 5" off the floor.

I am so excited you found things, and are ready! I would have the diaper bag/hosp bag packed too, but I want to wait till after my shower incase I want to switch out something I have for it with something new.

I still need to get a bag for this.

That's exactly why I got the Newborn rocker is because we have a small dog and I dont want her in his face all the time. Looks comfy for them too!

I was thinking about getting a nursing hospital gown too, but I was such a mess last time and they gave me a cute pink one to wear after. Those are so cute though expecially since you are doing birthing photography!

I just got a $30 gown from Motherhood with no intention of keeping it afterwards since I know it will get messy. I just really do not want to wear a hospital gown at all!! I wore the gown to bed last night and I love it! It is so soft and stretchy! I'm thinking about buying some more to wear afterwards. This is the one I got: http://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?Product_Id=901270150&MasterCategory_Id=MC16

Oh that's super cute!!! I thought you were talking about one of those designer hospital gowns.. I saw some on babysteals, but I would assume they arn't practical because you wouldn't wear it any other time. I might have a couple nursing gowns from DS, but I need something warm since it will start getting cold around here after he is born. I'll have to look for some! I thought I was all done shopping! Thanks alot! LOL

Wow... you are really on top of everything! Congrats on your shopping spree! I've been adding things to my registry & trying to decide what to go ahead & buy myself. I won't be having a shower either but I know there will be some gift buyers. I have a Coach diaper bag for DD & I love it.

I love that gown... I may have to get that one too! I really hate my pics from last time in that stupid hospital gown.

Sounds like you had loads of fun! So does the Rock n play continue to rock on its own, or do you have to give it a little push every now and then. Def an affordable alternative to a bassinet and it's much more portable than a bassinet or pack-n-play if you're at someone's house when baby is still small.

You do have to push it yourself.. so I debated getting it for awhile. but after reading reviews, there must be something the LO likes about it, and its high enough if the baby needs soothing you can easily push it with your hand and yes very portable! I do have a papasan chair and a swing incase he doesn't like it.

Looks like you got some great stuff!!!

And don't feel bad about the diaper bag. We're currently using Owen's diaper bag for Savannah lol

So I broke down and bought the Rock N Play Sleeper too. Smile I had registered for a bassinet and it was kind of bugging me that I was planning on only keeping her in it for a couple of months and then I'd have no use for it. It really does have great reviews and we can use it up to 6 months! DS had reflux so bad and there were times that he would only sleep in his bouncer since it was inclined. Wish I had it back then!

YAY!!! I don't think we will be regretting our purchase!!! DS never liked the bassinet, he hated lying flat. I have the pack n play with the newborn napper that sits up, the swing and this rocker so he should be set.
I was debating this over the nap nanny, but I like this better. Did you put it together yet? I'll open mine this weekend. Getting all this baby stuff set up is making this feel so much closer!!!

I ordered it online yesterday so I don't have it in yet. I'm going to use the papasan swing I used with DS, his soothing motions glider, and this so I think we are all set too! Smile I just need to get the swing out of the attic and clean it up. I was going to get a new one, but then I remembered that we will only use it for a little while too. No point in getting a new one when we have perfectly good one sitting in the attic.
