How long did your newborn
sleep the first few days? My baby literally wakes up for five mi
urea, looks around then feeds for about fifteen minutes then falls asleep again for another four to give hours. Am
I lucky or should I be worried??

mine's still sleeping like that (mostly-ish...except maybe an hour a day) and he's 11 days old.

Sounds pretty normal to me. At a month Gillian still only has maybe 3ish hours of awake time that's not nursing or having a diaper changed.

yup. same here. they slowly come out of it though. kessler isn't on a real routine yet. he'll be 3 weeks sunday but he does have longer stretches of awake time now

Kai does that and is 2 wks today. Our only problem is that he hasnt gained back his birth weight. So I am having to wake him every 2 hours to feed him now. Just so yours is gaining then it should be fine.

Mine all normally woke up to eat every 3 hours. Every baby is different though, and they'll go through different patterns.

I'm with Jules. Harrison isn't gaining enough & he's subsequently tired at the boob. We wake both babes up between hours 2 & 3.

They're pretty sleepy unless I'm trying to do something.

owen was like that at first. around the 2 1/2 week mark he started getting more alert.
