Stitches...TMI
I am 23 days PP, I had an episiotomy this time around, and I am scared I am not healing right. About two days ago, I was changing my pad and it felt like it tore :S, and bright red blood started coming from that area. Now it hurts again when I urinate, burning like right after delivery. How long do you think it should take to heal? Should I be worried?

I would get it checked out just to be safe. A friend of mine tore really bad and it ended up opening back up and she got an infection. She ended up having to go see an infection specialists. Her DH had to pack it everyday with medicane and gauze until it healed. True love, right? LOL!

I would go get it checked out, better to know your good than wonder, right?
-
Ugh! It's just impossible to get to the doctor for myself...
-
Could you take a look down there with a mirror?
-
It does sound like you should probably have it checked out. Just pack the kids up and take them with you. The docs and nurses will understand and somewhat be able to help with them when need be.

I agree you should have it checked out. And if you need to just bring the kids with you, you wouldn't be the first to do it!

Its my 2 yr old, last time I brought her with me...my doctor actually asked me to come back without her......she was into everything. She's very very busy. I'll go next week and just find someone to watch DD1...

If your Doctor is cool they should be able to have a nurse or someone come into keep your daughter occupied while you have your exam. Exams are usually very short anyways. If not then maybe you need a different doctor!
Just thinking of you,how are you doing now?
