There is a special place for people like this!

DH and I used to have a little long haired chihuahua named Mojo. We gave him to another home last August (so just 1 year and 1 month ago). The lady we gave him to was my MIL's co-worker. This morning I get a call on my cell from our old vets office saying that a man found Mojo on the side of the road...in a cage with food and water. I thought that it must really be a mistake so I call my MIL to see if the woman lost Mojo. Turns out the woman was fired 2 months ago. I call the guy and he said that it's obvious that the cage was placed there on purpose and it was on the shoulder of a busy freeway. He also said that there were ants all in the cage! Sad Our poor doggie! Here we thought we had a found a great loving home for him and these people just throw him out like he's a piece of garbage. DH and I without hesitation told the man that we want him back. So looks like we will be getting our doggie back today and DS will be sooooo excited! He asks about Mojo all the time.

Thankfully, the mean lady left his old tags on his collar and the guy was able to track us down through our vets office. He's lucky to be alive considering he has a thick coat and it's been in the triple digits here! It's a blessing in disguise because we have really missed him! Smile Sad story with a happy ending!

That's crazy!! It's a good thing he had his tags and they were able to locate you.

What a awful lady. There are special places for people like her.

I am glad they were able to contact you and you can be reunited with your pup!

Man, I am glad he is ok, I hope he isnt traumatized, handle him with lots of care right now. Just saying he might not be exactly the same as before so watch him closely with the kiddos. (hope I am wrong but just be careful). Nice that you got him back. I am sure that lady is going to that oh so very special place!

I'm worried about that too! Who knows what his life has been like this past year. He was always so good with DS, but had his moments snapping at people as a puppy. I'm hoping he didn't pick that habit back up. The man I spoke with said that he seems very happy and sweet though. I wonder if he will even remember us. I also just realized that he'll turn three years old on Saturday! Smile What a great bday present for him!

How awful! I'm glad that he's ok, at least in the physical sense. I hope they find that lady and give her what she deserves. I hate people that treat animals like trash!

People like that make my blood boil! I'm grateful that he still had his tags so they were able to track you down. Hoping he's still a sweet happy boy.

He is very happy to be home and if you're my friend on facebook then I posted a video of DS and Mojo's reunion. It was so cute and sweet! Smile

That's sad, but at least it has a happy ending. I always worry about this with our black lab that we gave away before moving to Nebraska, but they already had a lab and 10 acres w/pond, so I'm sure Rock is in good hands...but you still always wonder. Thankfully I get an email every few months with a picture of him, so that keeps me happy. At least your DS will be excited since he still talks about the dog.

I'm so happy they were able to find you. I can't believe people act that way. That is a horrible way to treat a sweet animal. Like you said, at least there was a happy ending for Mojo.

I'm glad Mojo is ok, and back in your care. I know how you feel, we just gave our dog, Furball, away to a family that seems awesome. But I can't help wondering how he is doing. I hope they are loving him!

That is very sad that somebody would do that. I am glad they were able to find you. I'm sure he is happy to be home.
