How did you meet your DH/SO? How long have you been together?

We met at the local pub. We were both regulars, just had never met before. We've known each other for 5 years now, and have been married for almost 3 1/2 years (it will be 3 1/2 years on dd's 15 month bday).

I met DH in June 2001 & we were married May 2002.

We met at his family reunion... No, we are not related. I went with his female cousin (a friend of mine & I had never met DH before that day). I went because they were going to play volleyball & go tubing in the river. I was, sort of, dating someone else at the time. DH had a girlfriend but she didn't want to come that day. We hit it off & started talking from that day on. We broke up with the people we were seeing shortly after that & started dating (neither one of our relationships were serious). And, the rest, as they say... is history. Ha!

I met my DH at college. I probably first met him in 1997, but we became close in 1998. We didn't start dating until 1999. We dated a LONG time. We got engaged and married in 2005, and have been living happily ever after

We met through a mutual friend, and knew each other for a couple months. Finally New Years Eve 2003 we got together and have been together ever since! We got engaged in Jan 2007, got married in August 2008.

We met in the parking lot of the apartment where I lived in Las Vegas. I was moving in and needed someone to help me put my lamp together it was really tall and I could not hold the top and bottom. DH is 6ft 4in so I asked him to help me lol That was Oct 98 we became really good friends but nothing more until Jan 99 when we started dating. He proposed Christmas Day 99 , had our first DD Aug 2001, we finally got married Dec 30th 2006 long engagement lol

I met DF through a friend and we started talking and fell for each other. We have been together since Febuaury 2010, got engaged in November and got pregnant a few months later. We had planned on a fall wedding this year before we got pregnant, but our plans have obviosly changed. We will try to fit in wedding plans before a next baby comes since we plan on having another one soon after. Maybe we will just continue to do everything backwards, seems to work for us!

We met in a camp in the UP of MI where we were both volunteering for the summer. We knew each other for 2 weeks in the camp. We "dated" long distance for 10 months (e-mailed, phone, and 3 "real" dates). We then got married 10 months after we met. We have been married for just over 9 years... together for 10.

It probably sounds so cliche, but we actually met at a bar. LOL! He was there with a friend of mine and they worked together so our friend introduced us. We immediately hit it off and we moved in together 2 weeks later, engaged 4 months later, and then married a year later. We've been together for almost 8 years and on October 8th, it will be our 7 year wedding anniversary.

Funny story, but I found out later on that DH was actually going to sell a drum set that he owned to an ex-bf of mine who I was dating shortly before I met DH. I remember that I was going to go with that bf to go look at the drum set, but he ended up selling it right before we came over. We always thought it would be weird if we met each other then since we were both dating different people at the time. I also found out that the house DH was living in when I met him and the one I later moved into, was owned by an old boss of mine. I found out when I saw some old mail with her name on it and we later ran into her in the grocery store. I told DH that she's my old boss and he said that she is the person who used to own his house. So the whole time I was working for her, she was living in my future home and then later sold it to my future husband. LOL! Small world!

I was in my senior year of high school, DH was in the Marine Corps and home on leave for a week or two. I was sitting on the square (that was the 'cool' place to be back then lol) and he came driving around with two buddies. One of his friends was in LOVE with my best friend (who was also there) and insisted that DH stop the truck and they hang out with us. DH and I hung out all that night, he and his friend even followed me home and we sat out in my drive way for several hours (I had to be home for curfew). His FRIEND asked for my number so we could meet up and go out the next night, DH got my number from his friend, called me the next day, we went out again (the group of us), and then DH and I ended up hanging out that whole week he was home (I was out of school on fall break). That was October of 2002 and we've been together ever since

We dated long distance from October of 2002 to December of 2003, during which time he was deployed to Iraq for 6 months and we only talked 3 times), he proposed in December of 2003 so we were engaged long distance from then until July 2004, then he moved back home and we got married in May of 2005. SO, we've been together for 9 years this October and we've been married for 6 years.
