We have a tooth!

Saw a little white tooth poking out of Sarah's gum this morning! It was a shock. She is starting with her lower left canine. Isn't that a little weird?

Even if it is, we are excited to see a tooth because it at least explains some of her crazy behavior lately. Smile Our babies are growing up!

Congrats on the tooth! I've never heard of that one coming out first, but some babies are individuals :). My kids didn't get their canines until a lot later. Caleb got his first 2 teeth in last month(standard bottom fronts). I'd like to say it bets better after they're through, but it has been my experience that right after the first they start on the second and then the third hehe.

Congrats on the teeth babies. We have none yet and no signs but then both my girls didn't get there first until almost 1. Although Callan has been drooling LOADS and chewing on everything since he was 2 weeks old, so I have ordered him a Amber Teething Necklace. I have heard and read wonderful things about them. Thought it was worth a try lol

David is starting to teethe, too. He has been chewing really hard on anything he can get hold of--fingers, blankets, toys--you name it. Luckily, he is not teething on Mom right now. But he has been nursing so often that I feel like I might pass out (every hour and a half during the day). He must like the feeling of the suction on his gums. Oddly enough, I've noticed some swelling in the gums but it is his upper right and left canines. It seems as though our October babies would prefer to cut those teeth first. Who knows. Maybe it will make all the other teeth easier to cut. One can only hope, right? Smile

It's way back on her gums. We are assuming that it is a canine, but I suppose it could be REALLY weird and be a molar. Glad to know there are some other teething babies on the board.

About how long does it take for a tooth to come all of the way out after it pops through?

I'd be less surprised if it was a molar than if it was a canine! Canines usually come in last (before the 2 year molars though of course!). Bigger teeth, like molars and canines take longer to come all the way though. Caleb's 2 bottom front teeth are about half way through and they came in a bit more than a month ago.

We finally have a tooth too! It took 3 months of teething, but it finally broke through. Her Amber Necklace helped a lot with the teething, but her sleeping still has not improved. It looks like a 2nd tooth is going to break through soon.
