Do you coupon? What's your favorite coupon blog(s) & for what store?
I coupon although I still consider myself to be "learning". My fav blogs are Coupon Pro (for everything), Money Saving Mom (for CVS & Target), Totally Target (for Target) & Frugal Living & Having Fun (for CVS, etc). They can all be found on facebook.
I don't really coupon. I read the fliers to see what's on sale where, and shop around for the best deals though.
I do shop sales, but don't really do coupons. Most of what I buy is rarely found as a coupon anyway. For some reason they just don't seem to make coupons for store brand dried beans. I really like to check out the produce/meat to see what the managers specials are too... in other words, what they have to sell that day so it won't go bad. BIG markdowns there.
I'm trying to learn now that I have the time to put the effort into it. However, living in the Chicago area, I used to get Red Plum and SmartSource in a free mailer. Now I don't get anything, so I either have to print or remember to buy a Sunday paper. I can't seem to get Sunday only delivery from what I've seen. I do try very hard to shop the sales at the grocery stores, but living so far away, it's much harder.
I like couponmom and crazycoupon lady.
Typically, I like to think I would use coupons but I always (with out fail) forget them when we go to the store.
I cut some coupons found in the Sunday paper, but either never use them, or totally forget them. I've been trying to get better though.
Sometimes I coupon--especially when I go to Joanns. I was going to say, though, we should start a stickie (?) thread where we can post any baby related, pregnancy related steals and deals that we come across.
I tried it just a couple of weeks ago and I'm horrible at it! My total came out to be $143 and after the coupons it was $120. May sound great saving $23, but I was hoping it would be something ridiculous like getting $143 in groceries for $20. I think I need to stop watching that extreme couponing show. LOL!
I do use coupons but rarely "clip" them. We have a grocery store here in Texas that is calle HEB. They always have "meal deal" type things where if you buy one thing you get 4 or 5 things free.....aso they do coupons for buy this get that free. I ususally save about $60 a month.
I love the meal deals at HEB!!! That is the only place I shop!
I have watched a few episodes of 'Extreme Couponing' and I am a little intruigued-- however not sure if I have the time to be so die hard. The money people can save though is ridiculous! So to answer your question--- no I don't coupon, but would like to start or learn more.
I coupon just a little. Usually I use the printable coupons from coupons.com. There are also some good information blogs at couponmom.com. I agree though, a sticky of this would be nice.
I just gotta say about extreme couponing show...................who really needs 135 bottles of Malox?????? Or 500 tubes of toothpaste.......I mean really???
Oh and I almost forgot, I just became a member of Amazon Mom. I know it's not really coupons, but you get great deals on diapers and baby gear. I just got a $500 changing table for $170. You could get the same deal if you're not a member, but I would have never known about it if I wasn't signed up for it.
I completely agree!!! It's as if those people don't realize there are expiration dates on the items they purchase. It makes no sense to me. I prefer to save money on items we actually use! Call me crazy!
My thoughts exactly! People become obsessed over the weirdest things! I used to look through coupons to clip the ones for the things we bought normally, but I always found myself buying stuff I didn't need because I had a coupon. So I stopped actively looking for coupons :). I don't have the will power!
