Thread: Wednesday QOTD

Soooo.... Have you packed your hospital bag YET? What size bag did/will you pack (carry-on, small suitcase, duffel bag, etc)?


Here's the thread where we discussed our Hospital Lists... Spin off of todays qotd Just in case you need to a reminder on what to pack or where to start.

Ummm... nope. The suitcase (a small suitcase larger than a carry-on) is sitting in the floor of my room but it remains empty. I have my list ready though.

I will have that suitcase & another decent size tote bag for misc stuff... like the boppy & DD's gift, etc.

I've got them started. Mine's a small gym bag size. I've also got another for misc. Things like shower stuff, carseat blankies, small bag if dipes. Does anyone want to post their list so I can check I'm not forgetting anything?

Things I made sure were in their b/c I missed them last time:
-lotion (hospitals are ridiculously dry)
-chap stick
-nice jammies so I don't look like a slob in pics (vain I know but with my emergency hospital transfer last time the only pics I have are of me looking disheveled)
-Bravado nursing tank (to help hold in my tummy, I Hate that sloshy feeling once babe is out)

Nope, still not packed! lol And I washed all of Owen's clothes and sterilized his pacis and my breast pump and made the grand decision to leave it in TN. So if I have him while we're still in AL, I'm going to be relying on what the hospital provides lol

Have a carry on size bag and a small free diaper bag to use. Tried to pack it the other day, but just could not think of what to put in it lol I think it is my way of refusing to go in to hospital. When I had my risk assessment yesterday my midwife did mention packing it so if for no other reason than DH can find everything here. I am a total procrastinator in life anyway so will prob be done a day or two before I deliver lol

nope. probably a small duffle bag. I didn't really bring a lot of stuff last delivery and probably won't this time either. I stayed just over 24 hours from time of birth last time, so I think I showered but didn't bother washing my hair.

Nope. Even despite the threatened early labor... I still haven't packed. My mom did ask me if I had a bag yet and I told her I don't even know what I would take! Im actually considering waiting until I have him and then just request stuff as needed. There will be at least 2 people going from the hospital to my house daily while I am there.

No, I haven't packed it yet :/ I am thinking of either a small duffle and a diaper bag or one carry-on sized bag. I plan to pack it very soon, but have a hard time remembering to do so! I need to find my list of what I took to the hospital with DD and use it to pack for DS. There were only a couple of things I didn't want while i was there that I took.

For me I have a small carry-on type bag, and for dd her diaper bag, whih is quite small.
We are paked and ready! Just have to throw it in the van once we get to october.
Omg I just wrote dd!!!! I'm going to have a DAUGHTER!!! (I have tears in my eyes)

No ....... I've thought about it .... I'll just pack a duffel bag .... we live 15 minutes from the hospital and I imagine DH will be going back and forth to see the kids so I can make him get anything I forget.
