weird pelvic sensations

Man today and a little bit yesterday I just noticed a lot more pressure in my pelvic area. It's not really painful, just kinda there. I guess it's "growing pains"? Or maybe gas, though it feels slightly different than gas.

I have been getting a somewhat uncomfortable sensation as well in the last couple of weeks. It feels sort of heavy and crampy, but it's not exactly cramps. I do think stretching is an accurate description of the feeling.

It makes sense with all we've got going on in there. Smile

I'm getting kind of worried because it's persisted all day. And there's a lot of sensations of sharp pain on the left side on and off. I may call the triage line. I can't wait to get home and check the baby's heart, it will make me feel so much better.

The Dr. told me at my appt this week that weeks 14-16 are the worst for round ligament pain, or that's when it really starts up. I describe it as a very SHARP short pain. Usually it occurs around my ovaries or by my pelvic bone. Sometimes I just get it a couple of times a day, other times it will last 8 hours. She said there wasn't much I could do to stop it from happening, but that everything is ok. Hope this helps some!

Yes to round ligament pain and yes to the pressure! I usually press lightly but firmly around where the pressure is.. and more than once, I've felt a baby bottom! They're stretching out in there.

Hey that's definitely feeling baby! I know you were really excited about that :).

The sharp pain I definitely agree is round ligament pain. Could you be having braxton hicks? That kind of sounds like what you're describing with the pressure. Sort of like a tightness? I start getting them very early, so it's possible.

I'm also getting the sharp pains and the low dull achy stuff. The dull achy stuff I think is Little Dude. He's settled WAY low in there. His head is on my right side, feet on my left side and he's sort of sprawled out on the bottom side of my belly.

Haha I'm sure the baby is stretching away but I can't feel it. I can't even feel where my uterus is lol let alone a baby. It's round ligament pain but I didn't know the sharp pain could last so long. I thought it was supposed to last only a few minutes at a time so I was worried about it. But baby's heartbeat is strong and the worst of the pain didn't last over the weekend. I'm pretty sure the chair at my job is responsible for aggravating it so I'm interested to see how today goes.
