What has everyone been up to?

We have been so busy at work that I haven't had a chance to visit in a while. Still busy, but I decided to take a break and see how everybody is doing. We are doing well. Sophia has resorted back to her newborn sleeping habits. I thought it was just a phase, but it's been going on for over a month now. She falls asleep and the minute I lay her down, she wakes up and starts screaming. I refuse to let her CIO so I just comfort her until she goes back to sleep and then it just starts all over. Hoping she'll grow out of it soon. She is teething like crazy so I bought a teething amber necklace. Amazing!!

So as I mentioned in a previous post DH had a vasectomy 2 weeks ago and we were given instructions to use other protection for the first 6-12 weeks since he is still considered fertile during that time. Well we had a little oopsie this past weekend and now DH is freaking out that I may be pregnant again. I didn't dare tell him that we DTD during my most fertile time too. So watch out for a surprise post from me in about 2 weeks. LOL!

What has everyone else been up to?

We've been pretty busy here as well. Yesterday had my check to make sure my iud had stayed in place, and it has. Gillian had her 4 month shots this morning, and we have an appt with her dr on thurs to discuss why she's dropping down percentiles for weight. She's actually the same length that her sister was at the same time, but a pound and a half lighter despite starting out only 2 ounces lighter and 2 inches longer. We also have to do weekly weight checks until she's gaining consistently at least 4 ounces a week.

We've also been taking advantage of the nice weather and getting out to the zoo lots. Annabelle has a great time, and Gillian usually naps through the whole visit (we have memberships and it's less than 30 minutes away, so we usually only go for a couple of hours).

I have been super busy too, even though I am still staying home. We just got back from FL and are adjusting back to the cold weather and planning another trip to Puerto Vallerta in April. Nicholas did great the first flight but this one will be longer.
Just had his 4 month checkup and he was 17lbs and 26 in. long. He is in the 75%. Big boy! He is getting way to heavy to carry in the carseat, but he can't sit up yet so I don't know what I would do with him if I didn't have it.LOL He IS almost sitting up though and rolling on both sides. His sleep still sucks. He wakes up every 2-3 hours to squirm and whine. Not sure if he is gassy or what.Sometimes he eats but I don't think that is the main reason he is waking. I have tried moving him to the pack and play from our bed but it's not going so well. HE usually sleeps in the swing during the day and takes good naps. I have been pumping during the day and nursing at night. He seems to like the bottle alot. I tried some rice cereal last week but he doesn't seem to ready and consitpated him so I will wait longer.
I am sick today and Nicholas is grumpy so I am going back to bed.

Jennifer-Good luck on that pregnancy test! I will be testing Valentines Day! LOL

How ironic would that be? We both had our babies on the same day and we both get pregnant at the same time again. LOL!

Good luck with your tests ladies!

We've also been pretty busy. Caleb is teething hard! His first tooth is completely through and his second is almost there. You can feel the little pokey but you can't see it yet. My other kids didn't get their first teeth until almost 5 months and 6 months so I was pretty shocked he got them so early! I'm not sure if it's his age or what but this has been super hard on him.

Jen- It's funny you said that about Sophia sleeping well and then stopping. Both my boys have done that. They both STTN starting at 2 months and stopped right at 3 months. After that one good month their sleeping got dreadful! I can't complain though...Grace didn't even have that short period of good sleep, she didn't sttn ONCE until she was a year old :).

We're trying to get DH vasectomy too. But our insurance is making us jump through all these hoops since he's so young still (26), he has to take a class and get consultations. With his weird work schedule and all the overtime he has had to put in he hasn't had time. I just want it DONE! We're so fertile it's scary. I feel like our family is complete and I don't want an oopsie!

We're also looking to move soon and we're looking for a van too. That has been insanely stressful! I hate where we live now, but what if where we end up is no better! What if the car we get is a lemon? There's no question we need another vehicle though, we only have one right now. And being stuck at home all day everyday with 3 tiny kids is driving me nuts! Hopefully everything will settle down for all of us soon though!

Sorry for the disorganized post, I'm completely exhausted :).

Dana let us know what the Dr says, I am curious. Callan is still dropping in percentile's too he is now below the 2nd. I saw a different health visitor this time and she didn't seem too concerned, but his puking has got worse in the last week so she suggested I see the GP.

Jen and Samantha good luck hope it works out the way you both want it too.

Karen so sorry you are exhausted and stressed out, no fun. I know what you mean about staying home I totally get cabin fever drives me crazy. Hope everything gets better.

We are all good the girls just finished school/preschool for 1weeks break. The baby cafe I go to and have been awesome in breastfeeding support is being shut down due to funding so we are busy doing petitions and a protest on Friday.

Callan is doing well other than weight. He will be 4months on Monday and yesterday weighed 11lbs 14 1/2oz so dropped from just under the 9th to under the 2nd percentile and 24inches long. He is my little love bug, but I still get so annoyed when people say how tiny he is. He is happy, smiles and laughs all the time. Content most of the time, has great muscle tone sits on my knee looking around and his new fav is he loves to stand up on my lap too. He puts absolutely everything he can in his mouth and drools constantly but not even a little bump in his gums. We have a game on the iPad called Baby Finger which he loves to do although he also tries to eat the iPad sometimes too lol Yesterday he discovered his feet and guess where they go now lol yep his mouth too.

Anyway not much going on really just busy with life lol

Hi Ladies Smile

I've been very busy with work recently, so I've been bad with posting. Conor is getting big (still in the 75% I think). We have had a lot of sleep problems. He used to be a great sleeper, but now he'll only sleep in the bed with me. It's getting old! I've been doing sleep training almost every night, but it's hard. I actually have a little cold now, so I feel incredible run down with lack of sleep! My big girl is doing well. She's super excited about her daycare's Valentine's Day party. She gets to wear her PJs and bring in a special snack.

That's about all! Good luck with your tests, your van buying, etc!

We're around. We've had an extremely mild, dry winter, so we've been taking advantage of no snow. Kessler's 4 month is at the end of this week. He seems to be pretty average on weight to me but feels huge compared to what Abby was. He started to giggle some. I posted a video on FB this morning. That's about it I guess.

Emma - you'll be hearing how tiny Callan is for a long time. I get that with Abby still and she's 5. It was around 4-5 months with her that I finally just realized that she was only going to gain about 1lb per month and that was just the way she was built.

Emma, I can so relate on this. DS was so tiny since he was born 6 weeks early and people always commented on how tiny he was all the way to age 2! He was always in the 5th percentile. It would annoy me so much especially since my nephew was only 9 months older and was a chunk compared to him. I was always getting so tired of telling people why he was little like I really owed them an explanation anyways so I would just smile and say nothing instead.
