Who wants to be our board Hosts/Moderators? *NEWupdate in Post #1

Just wondering... I've been out so much and thought I might have missed it. If we do, who are they? If we don't, why not?


UPDATE
So, it appears that we do not have any Hosts/Moderators for our Pumpkin Pies yet. Unless, someone has emailed in already... which would be great! I don't want anyone to think I'm trying to take over the board but I want to make sure we get our Hosts so we can do Birth Buddies &/or Gift Exchanges if we want to.

So... Who wants to be our Hosts/Moderators? We need 2. Or, who has a nomination for the position?

Sally (aka CanadianSally) has emailed in to be one of Our Board Hosts. Thank you Sally... you will be a great choice!

I was nominated too so hopefully we will be set with our Hosts if we are approved. Hopefully everyone will be ok with us if we get it.

No I don't think we have them yet. On my first BB we didn't have mods until our babies were all out and running around.

On both my DD's BB (Nov 03) and my DS#4 BB (Nov 07) we had mods by the time we were all in the 3rd trimester. We did birth buddies and gift exchanges that way...

August and September's haven't been announced yet either, but I know admin is working on putting together the mod teams. Not sure about October.

"Hosts/Board Moderators

Hosts/moderators will be appointed to the board after your group enters the second trimester. If you are interested in taking on this position - or if you have a recommendation for another member that you feel will make a great host for your group, please drop a note to MissyJ (missyj@pregnancy.org) after you have entered your 10th week of pregnancy. ..." There are more details in the full "Sticky".


Here's an important reason to have Mods... copied & pasted...

"Exchanges (Including Birth Buddies, Secret Sisters, etc.):

While we want all exchanges to be fun and enjoyable for all, for the security and protection of our members and to help safeguard all private contact information shared, we do have some rules in place which we must ask be followed. This includes baby showers, birthday, holidays, cards, *secret sisters*, birth buddies... anything that involves collecting and/or giving out any of the member's personal contact information, whether full names; mailing addresses; phone numbers (for calls or texts); emails; etc.


These rules include the following (as well as additional guidelines which will be outlined by the mods at the time of the exchange):

Eligibility for participation in ANY type of exchange (i.e. birth buddy, baby shower, birthday/holiday, etc.) is set at a minimum of 3 months Pregnancy.org membership and a minimum of 300 posts. For newer boards (2 years or younger), 100 posts are to be on the board organizing the exchange.

ALL exchanges are to be organized by a mod/board host (preferably two, in case one gets sick/etc.). If mods have not yet been appointed to your board, then we request that a board member who is a mod of another board be in charge of organizing/collecting information/etc."


So... who wants to be our Mods? Has anyone emailed in? If so, Great! Would someone like to be nominated? We need 2.

I emailed in about 10 weeks ago but haven't heard anything since. I'd love to be a host/mod.... I run other websites/boards and have the time so it's no problem for me

I would like to second Sally's Self-Nomination. I think she has done a fantastic job of keeping up the October EDD thread.

Sally, you are my first choice as our Board Host. I was hoping that you had emailed in. The "lurker" above said they are running slow appointing.

We still need one more though.
