    Post The witch is back!

I started today after no period for over a year and was totally unprepared too! I had no choice, but to wear one of those huge pads that the hospital gives you. LOL! I was hoping that I was going to be one of those mom's that doesn't have one while bfing, but I guess I didn't get that lucky! Sucks! Should have known since I had a decrease in milk supply yesterday. Any other bfing moms start yet? How did it affect your milk supply?

I had my first last week, didn't really see a difference in supply, but then didn't see a difference during the three between the girls. Sucked that it started two days after getting my iud in ... finished spotting from that and a day later started.

It's so weird how IUD's affect everybody differently. I never had a period when I had my IUD, but I have a friend who did! I think that is actually why it took a little longer for me to get pregnant because my cycles were out of whack after getting it removed. I would do it again, but DH is getting snipped on Tuesday so there would be really no point.

Haven't seen it yet, although I bled for 2 or more days after getting my IUD. I've never bled from paps or from cervical checks while pregnant, so that was a shocker. That's been about 6 weeks, so I know it wasn't the return of the witch.

I'm thinking I'll make it to at least 9 months or so. With my first I got it back at 2 months and it always caused a huge dip in supply whenever it showed up. With my second I made it to 6 months... then got pregnant right away and THAT affected my supply. I tandem nursed after my third was born and didn't get af until 15 months pp. After my 4th I made it to 9 months. I think I made it so long after my 4th because she was co-sleeping and we didn't use pacifiers at all. With my first two they didn't co-sleep as much and i used pacifiers. Anyway, I got pregnant again right after I got it back with my 4th, and actually my supply did pretty well through most of this past pregnancy. I'm really hoping it stays away for at least another 6 months or so (I think since I'm tandem nursing I can be pretty sure it will). We have no idea what we're going to do for birth control yet, so we still need time to think about it!

I'm wondering if I got it back since I'm back at work and pumping instead of nursing during the day. We started co-sleeping too (which I thought I'd never do) and she is pretty much attached to my breast ALL night. She went from sleeping through the night to all of a sudden waking up 3-4 times and I was so exhausted at work from no sleep. So she starts off in her bassinet and then I bring her into bed with me when she wakes up.

I got it back at the exact same age both times, three and a half months. I was hoping that it would stay away longer because Gillian isn't sleeping as long of a stretch as Annabelle did. Oh well, as long as I don't suffer a dip in production I'm okay with it.

I had it every month after I had Clara and my supply always went down, I didn't have it with my boys, nor have I had one since Markus strange! I had my left tube clamped when he was born, maybe that affected things? I'm also not ovulating but not surprised there since it took 9 months after Clara and then I got pg again.

I'm not really sure yet TBH! PP bleeding stopped and then about a week later (just shy of 2 months pp) I started bleeding again I figured that was it but it only lasted a day and then a bit of spotting the next day. 2 weeks after THAT it happened again! So who knows! I got it back at 6 months with Christian and then got pg with Grace after that one hehe. With Grace I got it back at 4 months (iirc) which sucked because she never slept any stretches longer than 2 hours.
