Being pregnant with a cold sucks!

This is so miserable! I can't stop coughing and my throat hurts! I will be so happy when it is gone. I spoke with a mom at DD's school (she's an OB) and she told me it was safe to take Robitussin and so I tried that last night out of desperation with no luck Sad I am so over this, lol!

Must be common, because add me to the club!! Kevin has such a bad cold that he took the day off Friday- first time he's taken a day off in 4 years!! and now my throat is burning/coughing/body aches/ runny nose... Yesterday I ran to the store to grab cough drops and texted my friend to ask if pectin was ok and she said no cough drops during first trimester and i was like WHAT?!?! th en she said she googled it and pectin is ok- so I got some ludens, and some hard candys to suck...

Ugh.. oh welll hopefully it'll help mask preg symptoms so when it's over I feel a lot better- har har har

Right there with you. I have had a cold/cough for going on 2 weeks now. I don't cough all the time or anything but when I do get a fit it really sucks. My 3yo ds has it too. I had it when I saw my MW a week ago Thurs and she said she thought it was just viral then. I am sooo done with this crappola too! Sorry you guys have it as well.

Try running a humidifier and use Vick's vaporub. Also, when I had a cold while pg, I relied heavily on Ricola throat drops (not the cough drops, because they have menthol, and that really upset my tummy).

I've been using the ricola dough drops. I'm running out today to get a warm most humidifier with Vicks to help open me up. I'm so ready to be done with this!!

Well I give up I need a medical professional! Ugh! I am pretty sure I have a sinus infection and my head is pounding. This on top of the hacking mucus cough that, as I am sure you can imagine, does nothing to help my nausea. Everytime I get a coughing fit it makes my head pound worse. Just a head's up dont ever google head aches when you cough, scary sh!t, relatively sure none of it applies to me, but I have a bit of hypochondria bc of my anxiety disorder. In fact my dh and I have a "no googling symptoms" agreement lol and my therapist wholeheartedly approves. But I broke it Blum 3 however I was able to reason with my broken mind and figure if I had a brain tumor, malformed skull, or my brain was protruding from the base of my skull my neurologist (I have migraines, ick) would have noticed by now. I am calling my midwife tomorrow I think it is time for an antibiotic. If I can stomach it. I got some ludens for my cough but I cant eat them they turn my stomach, like anything else slightly sweet that I try to eat. I got robitussin down but briefly thought it might come back up but I managed. I think it has helped my cough some hopefully I can sleep.

Tiffany, I'm sorry. That sounds awful. If you have a health food store nearby, there's a product called "Sinus Relief" by King Bio company. It's a bit pricey, but it's perfectly safe. You can even use it on newborns. Anyway, I got it for Isaiah because he's taking so many medications that anything over the counter is unsafe for him. And I tell you, the stuff really works. I started using it when he was showing signs of a cold two days before the surgery, and by the time the surgery came, he was fine. And the best part is it's flavorless. You just spray it in your mouth.
