Every morning I look in the mirror before I get in the shower and I don't look pregnant (except for my boobs of course - they now rock . . . oh and the super hot acne ). But by the end of each day I've magically transferred into the second trimester it seems . . . at least according to my waistline. By the PM my lower abdomen bulges out and I look (and FEEL) twice as far along as I really am. Then I'm back and looking thin again by morning. Because of this all of my skinny pre-pregnancy clothes are already out of the rotation. They're just not comfortable.
Thankfully I haven't had any strangers ask me yet if I'm pregnant or how far along I am. I can't imagine choking out "5 1/2 weeks". LOL! I'm almost looking forward to when I *am* in the second trimester so I'll at least have an excuse for it. An 8mm gestational sac doesn't quite account for this level of poochiness.
Not to be gross, but I imagine it's just a day's worth of food working through the terribly slow pregnancy digestion process? And then by morning it's all gone and back down to normal? Odd part is - it doesn't look like fat. It looks pregnant. I don't remember this with my first pregnancy, however that was 10 years ago when I was in my early 20's. Oh how things (and bodies) change.
Anyone else experiencing the magical trimester transition, or am I the only lucky one who morphs into Violet Beauregarde every day?
