Gender Scans

Is anyone NOT going to find out the gender of your baby?
Once I know I'm pregnant that is seriously ALL I can think about. I couldn't stand not finding out and I can't stand when others don't! hahaha I'm so terrible! It just seems like a perfectly good waist of fun to me.

I didnt get to find out with my first three babies and it killed me! My office is very old school and they didnt use to do u/s if you werent having an issue of some kind and even when I did have u/s w/ those 3 they never even told me a guess. So finally when I was pg with #4 one of those u/s shops opened up 3 hrs from here and we hopped right into the van and drove up there! Now there are 3d clinics even closer so I will head to one of those as soon as I feel they can accurately tell me for sure! I love knowing beforehand and getting everything ready!

I'm going to try my best not to find out. We already have one of each and were pretty sure this is going to be our last so I would love to keep the gender a surprise till I deliver.

I've saved everything from both my kids so I don't have to worry about that and the baby would sleep with us for the first few months so I could get the nursery ready then.

DH wants to find out. Plus everyone is shocked that I don't want to find out cause I'm such a planner and I hate surprises. I found out the gender of both my babies at 15weeks.

So as of right now I'm gonna be team green. But who knows....October is a LONG ways away Wink

I need to know. I can't wait. Especially since we have 2 boys, if it's another boy then we need to buy significantly less stuff, but if its a girl we'll need clothes and bedding and cute pretty pink cloth diapers lol. Also I tend to get a bit down/depressed when I find out I'm having a boy, so I find its better to find that out ahead of time so I have time to adjust, if I found out during delivery and then threw PP hormones on top of that it could be a very bad time for me.

I'm really torn on this one. We found out with our first one. It was in December so we had the tech seal it in an envelope and we waited a couple weeks and opened it at Christmas. It made it a little more special and a Christmas gift like no other. Smile

I always said I wouldn't find out with the next one. I want to be able to experience both ways - knowing before and not so I would like to wait. That being said I don't think I'll be able to. It's so hard now to find out. Plus the room that will be the baby's room is painted a blueish/teal color. We'll either need to paint or find the perfect stuf to go in there for a boy or a girl. So it would be nice to know from that perspective. I am thinking if we find out we aren't telling though. We'll just keep the shades pulled and the door locked on that room. Smile I don't know - we'll see. DH said he definitely wants to find out but I don't have - well that won't work. LOL!

Team green here Smile We've done both. We didn't find out with DS1, DS2, or DS4. We did find out with DS3 and DS5. It was neat to find out ahead of time but nothing beat that moment at delivery when they said "It's a boy!". I just figure, we don't get many surprises in life so I want to wait for it. Especially since this will be our last baby.

I'm leaning toward team Green. I found out with my first bc I really wanted a boy and I didn't want even a millisecond of dissapointment in the delivery room if it was a girl. She was a girl and I cried when I left the office! But I'm so happy to have her and now I don't think it would bother me to have another girl, although I would like boy.
I think I'll discuss it with DH when the time get closer and we'll make a decision then.

While I think it would be absolutely awesome to find out at delivery, I'm too much of an impatient planner to wait that long. I wish I could. It would be easier if we already had one of each, but I need to buy stuff if we have a boy and I love getting the nursery ready during pregnancy. Our nursery is currently blue and it's a girl room so we wouldn't necessarily need to paint, but the flowers would have to go!

I.Must.KNOW!!
haha.. I think if I had one of each I'd be more swayed into not finding out- but being as I just have one boy- I need to figure out my plan. I dont really have supportive family or anything- so the first few months are gonna be lonely with me and the baby- i'm not gonna have a lot of spare time to go shop for all new stuff with a newborn.

Plus- I want to paint the room this summer and have everything ready- if its a boy Im pretty much set- probably just get a few new things- but if it's a girl I'm startin from scratch

Also- $$ wise- I'd like to know if it's a girl sooner then later because I have a feeling I'll need a bigger budget- haha, and I'd need to find a girl name.

I really wanted a girl with DS- so I had to find out- because I didnt want to get my hopes up on the big delivery day- but once I found out it was aboy, I was happy and had 20 more weeks to get used to the idea!

I feel like I just ASSUME it's a boy until proven other wise- so I'm trying not to get my hopes up either way!

If for some reason kevin allows us to have one more, and we get a girl this time- I think i'd like to wait... but if we have a boy this time, I'd DEFINATELY want to find out because then I'd really want a girl.. haha...

I agree that if I had one of each, it would be a lot easier to wait. I'll be finding out as soon as possible (which is not until 20 weeks here) I'm always the last one to know!

I had said that if we had one of each then I'd try have the third be a delivery surprise, but seeing as how we have 2 boys and this is our last baby I am definitely not waiting. The anatomy/gender u/s's are done between 18-21 weeks, so I still have 10-12 weeks left to go. *sigh*

I am torn as to whether or not to find out. I want to know but since I already have one of each and this will be our last baby I may keep it a suprise. Dh says no way we are finding out so who knows. My ob does the scan at 16 weeks .

Deirdre- I think it would be awesome to have a girl at this point! She would totally be spoiled by her big brothers! Although between her 5 brothers and her dad, she'd never have a date Wink

Belinda- Nahhh, dating wasn't that bad. My biggest problem was my horrible choice in boys!

I will be finding out as soon as I can! With my son I scheduled my appointment at 18 weeks to the day lol. That's the earliest they do the "big" ultrasound at the doctors office I go to. This time we are really hoping for a boy again and it doesn't hurt that we already have almost everything we need. If its a girl, we will have to start from scratch.
