Yeah, it's totally wild to be thinking this. Eeee! I think my hubby is a little more excited then me. Beee I'm really anxious about the financial part, room in our home for one more, and scared of what the birth will be like. I've just started getting like this recently. Wish I could turn off the analytical part of my brain....

Woo I so hope we're all here this time next year! I am DYING for January to TTC.

ETA: DH is very "ok we'll just roll with it" and very relaxed right now. He's not the type to show much excitement until we're in the thick of it. Beee I know he'll get excited when it comes to trying, sometimes I just wish he was one of those hubby's that begs me for another baby haha.

Marie-I get scared about handling another all the time. For the same reason's; financial, space, labor. But I'm really getting nervous bc I'm up for a different position at my job. It's very similar to what I'm doing now (admin), but I'll be working for a Chief rather than a Captain. It should have some better benefits in the long run, but probably not a flexible as where I am now.

Mia-I wish my DH was a little bit like that too. I just know that when times get crazy bc of two - and especially when I'M at my wits end-he's just going to throw it in my face that it was all MY idea :O(

Yup, I must be in the minority with hubbies it seems. I had a long talk with mine yesterday about '#3' and he would be completely heart broken if it didn't happen. I'm kinda worried now b/c my youngest has to be evaluated for, so far, speech delay. (I don't want to even think it could be anything more that that.) Sad After dealing with a severely ADHD son (oldest), I know special needs of any kind take a LOT out of a mom. T&P please! Thank ladies! I doubt I could handle three if life throws me another big hurdle. Beee

Marie - Is that SETH?? OMG! He looks soooo big!!!!
I hope Seth's evaluation goes well. Perhaps he's the smartest one out of all of us, and he's delaying growing up for as long as possible!
I guess it's a good thing that your getting the evaualtion first, then planning on ttc. This way you can change your mind or hold off if you feel you need to.

DH had admitted once that he was excited. But I can see when things start to get rough with Erin, he's thinking WHY would we have another.

AFM-I don't think my tempting efforts are going so well. Some morning I completely forget. Others, i don't think about until I'm sitting up in bed or-even worse-while I'm peeing Smile
But even when i do remember, my thermometer is so weird. This morning it read 99 something, then I took it again and it was 97.5....I might give up on it entirely and just chart and use opk's.
I took Erin to a Farm yesterday and she picked out a few small pumpkins for halloween. I'm going to let her paint one. I also picked up some larger ones and roasted them to make puree. Going to make pumpkin bread and maybe soup this week.

Lesli - I started watching that video, but Erin insisted on watching youtube videos of animals instead so I haven't finished :O(

So I have been EBF my son and have been waiting for my AF to finally arrive or else I was going to have to ween my son so that it would come back in the next month. Anyways it showed up. Not that I am excited to get her back since it has been 19 mo. I great 19 mo with out!! But I am glad that I don't have to ween my son yet but can start knowing my cycle again before it is time for us to try.

I SO hope to be here!! I've always wanted an Oct baby! Hubby is completely on board and we'd be expecting now if it weren't for the fact that our youngest is 4 months Blum 3 We haven't prevented in the past 6 years and plan to go for #5 as soon as it happens. Like I said...I really HOPE to be here but honestly, the earliest my cycle has returned is 8 months pp (I exclusively breastfeed Smile BUT, this current baby is the first child that has consistantly slept 12-14 hours at night...so it's possible to end up here I guess Smile

Welcome, Batgirl Smile I can't believe your 4 month old sleeps 12-14 hours a night! My two boys barely sleep 9 or 10! Lucky Biggrin

Good luck to you and I hope we both get to be on this board!

Hi Batgirl! Looks like we're getting quite a crew. New Year's Eve will be mighty fun this year. Wink Have you always planned to have a big family? My DH would LOVE to have lots of kids I think. But 3 will be our max.

Welcome batgirl! I come from a family of 5 kids and LOVED it! I, however, will be stopping at 2. :O)

Welcome back Weimerbaby1!

Marie-For some reason, NYE keeps jumping into my head as a reason not to start trying in December. I don't know why? I haven't done anything exciting in YEARS!! Last year the entire family was sick and I was up all night with Erin, the year before that I was pregnant, and the year before that DH plowed overnight the night before and fell asleep by like 8 pm. I was sitting in the house drinking chocolate martinis by myself! I don't even remember the years before....Maybe I'm thinking this year. THIS year will be the one! But really? Who am I kidding

AFM-I let Erin paint her pumpkin last night. It's just a big ol mess of colors, and most of the paint ended up on her face and belly. I'll try to post pics this evening. I'm going to paint a "face" on it tonight.
She apparently doing much better at daycare. It seems the trick is to let one of her grandmother's drop her off and then there is less drama. My mom said when she got there Tuesday she walked in and found a friend and just took off. :O)
I have given up on tempting. I'm just not that disciplined. I figure when I think I'm close to O'ing, we'll just DTD more often. I really don't think DH will find any issues with that Wink

I'm flying with Erin for the first time next weekend. It's a 3 hour flight. Any ideas on how to keep her occupied??

We've always wanted a large family. I still can't believe we've had 4 in the past 5 years Blum 3 People keep asking us if we know what causes it Blum 3

Fun fact: I've had all of our children at home thus far (and it's my plan to continue that Smile )

I just can't look at my sweet babies and not want more...if they all slept as well as our infant, I'd have millions Blum 3 I don't know what's come over him, but he seems to value sleep as much as his father does! haha. It's a welcomed break as my oldest didn't STTN until he was 18 months and my second was over a year when that happened as well. Our 3rd was a good baby and she STTN earlier than the boys. It's nice, I like it!

Deirdre, you better wait until Jan. Wink Isn't that what you told me? Lol! I'm sure my NYE will totally lame and tame as far as booze goes. I do enjoy all drinks, but mommyhood has put the stop to going out and knocking back a few. Wink heh heh. Maybe we'll open a bottle of something from the cupboard and have a *fun* night. For the new baby's sake of course!

Batgirl, wtg with 4 homebirths! Did you use any method to help you out? Sometimes I wish we had the money for a big family, cause DH would really like that. But then again, I tend to make really wild sons, so I don't know how much I could handle! Haha.

Side note. This is my favorite time of year! I can't wait to take my boys trick or treating. Are any of you ladies dressing yourselves up for t or t? I don't think I am going to, but who knows?

I also come from a large family....I am number 4 of 6. My mom is 1 of 9, and my dad is 1 of 5. I have a bazillion cousins lol

My sister has 5 kids (her youngest is 6 mo), one brother has 4, one brother has 3, one brother has 2 (and plan to have 2 more), and my baby sister is preggo with her 1st Smile I will have (hopefully) 3. So I also have a lot of neices/nephews Smile

I will be dressing up in a witches costume as well to go trick or treating with dd, I just have to find a hat to finish the outfit, but I think my friend has one I can borrow.

Marie - My big fear with waiting until Jan is that I don't think I have that kind of luck to get pregnant the first try. I figure if i start in December, at least I won't be putting my eggs in one basket KWIM? And I really don't want to go past November for another baby. December is too close to christmas and then Erin's birthday not long after that. So if it doesn't work by March, I'll probably take a break for a while or just call it quits at one.
I'm pretty much a beer and wine girl now. There are a few drinks that I might order if I'm out, but I'm too lazy to make them at home!!

Lesli - Let's have a contest. I counted my first cousins once....56! That includes some that have passed. Do you know your count? My mom is one of 4 (but her brother passes before having children) and my dad is one of 12!

Not dressing up for halloween. One less thing to pack :O)

You are on sister! lol

oh and I lied, my dad is 1 of 6 not 5.....not sure how I missed one of my aunts lol

and 2 of my uncles I'm not terribly close with, and their kids are all WAY older than me, so I honestly don't know how many kids they have! I counted 2 each, but I'm pretty sure they had more than 2.....so the grand total came to 54! Pretty dang close! I have some cousins who are pushing 50 (both my mom & dad are on the younger side of their families) and my youngest cousin I believe is 10. My Grandma and Grandpa are both still alive on my mom's side, my grandpa just turned 94, and my grandma just turned 90 Smile

2nd cousins.....wow hmmm I'm pretty sure it's in the 100's probably more.

Holy Toledo ladies!! Biiiiiig families for sure! Do you ever have big family reunions? I know DH's mom has 12 bro's and sisters and it's hard for me to keep that whole mess of family sorted when we see even part of them. I want to get a Polaroid and snap everyone and make a big family tree! XD It's the only way I'll learn. Lol.

we threw a party for my Grandma in April when she turned 90....sadly I couldn't be there Sad but EVERYONE was there! My dad's side of the family we really don't get together much anymore, we used to, but then my one aunt who used to always plan it died unexpectedly, and we really haven't done much together since. Kinda sad

Marie - My mom's side will get together one in a while. They account for only 8 of the 56 first cousins. The rest are all on my dad's side and we are scattered all over the place. My dad is the second youngest of his crew and I ended up being the youngest of all those cousins. Most of them are WAY older. They have kids my age! And my parents were born and raised in Ireland so a lot of my family is still there. And sadly, there are not many left from my Dad's 12 siblings. Only 5 I think :O( It seems that when the parent died, the cousins became more distant. But, that being said, we do have a family get together once a year even though only a handful of people show up.

Lesli-2nd cousins? I wouldn't even try!!!!:)

I just put in for Comp time for M,Tu,W of next week and I start Vacation on Thursday. So that means i start my VACATION this afternoon!!!!! I'm off until Nov 15th!!!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!

Lucky! Do you have anything fun planned?

My dad is also the second youngest, but his oldest brother is only 10 years older than him, so they aren't spaced AS much.

My mom is also the second youngest, her 2 younger siblings are twins Biggrin
