Anyone care to update on how they are doing now that we're entering the final weeks of our pregnancies?
I have been doing NSTs every week for the last 4 weeks due to the gestational diabetes. I've had an u/s every three weeks. This week I start doing NSTs twice a week. So far so good. The NSTs and u/s have all been great showing a healthy baby - yay!
Still doing insulin 4 times a day and checking my blood sugar 7 times a day and I look forward to the end of that.
All in all this pregnancy has gone very well and I am so thankful for that. I can tell by my aching hips, back and pelvis the end is near....16 days!!!
I'm doing good. Pelvic pan and pressure are getting worse. I just hope that means the baby is engaging! My doc is inducing at 39 weeks so I have 28 days left! SO excited to meet this baby and see if it's a boy or a girl!
I'm glad you're both doing well (though all those shots don't sound like fun at all).
I'm feeling lots of pressure too and hoping to hold out a few more weeks. I have some things to do that would be easier with him in rather than out. My doc doesn't talk induction unless I hit 41 weeks, but I've never gone over so we'll see what happens.
I am doing fine. 35 weeks I started having contractions so i've been on rest since last Monday. When I hit 37 weeks the contractions can start up if they want. At my last appointment i was 1 almost 2 cm dilated. I am so done with the pain. Last night was horrible with hip pain and my heart was racing. To much walking makes the pressure I feel a lot more intense so I avoid walking around stores and stuff. My next appointment is tomorrow afternoon so we will see what she says then and if I have any change. I doubt it though.
As far as preparing for baby we are pretty well done. After the scare last week I got the bag packed and little stuff bought. The rocking chair is downstairs now and I just have to have DH put the car seat in the car. Which i've been bugging him to do for days now. I do a little cleaning everyday to satisfy my nesting
I was 36 weeks on Monday and I'm physically done! My right side from my hip down is in constant pain and baby must be pretty low bc the pressure is awful. I really find it difficult to stand/walk. My c/s is scheduled 3 weeks from tomorrow (the 18th) so at least there is an end in sight. I see my specialist today for one last U/S and then my regular OB after that so perhaps things may change? I think I may have been having contractions here and there but nothing strong or consistent. I keep trying to remind myself to cherish these last few weeks bc I'll be getting my tubes tied during the surgery and this will be my last pregnancy. But it is difficult to keep thinking that way
As for being ready on the outside....not so much. Still working on the baby's room. I'm PRAYING it'll be done in a week and I'll be able to start getting some things out of the attic and cleaned up (like my breast pump, car seat, etc!). Paint is almost done, but we still have to clean out the closet (it's DH's closet currently), put down new floors, put up new molding, replace floor heaters, cut a hole in the ceiling and install a fan, prime and pain the new doors.....I'm at the point right now where I don't care if it's done or not. I just want this baby out and we'll figure it all out from there!!!
:lurk: Yay, I'm so excited for all of you! The end is soooo close!
I have an induction scheduled for Monday, Oct 1st at 6:00am! This has been the longest week ever!! I actually had some timeable contractions a few days ago after dtd, which is a first EVER for me! I always go past my due date. So hopefully he is as ready to come out and meet his family as we are to meet him I have had no complaints this pregnancy, but this week I have been beyond exhausted and really looking forward to this getting this babe in my arms.
Rachel, I hope everything went smoothly! Post an update when you can!!
I hope everyone is doing well. I go in Wednesday for my scheduled c section. I can't believe it's here! Very excited to meet this baby girl!
Good luck tomorrow!!!
I'm still doing well, hoping to keep him in for about another week since I'm comfortable. I've even slept pretty well the last couple of nights. The nursery is ready, the gear is all clean, I just need to get my event on the 13th over with. I'm also enjoying my girls and last few days of being a family of 4. We went to the apple orchard yesterday and played and played. My two year old snuggled me for about an hour last night. Life is good. My DH will start working half days next week and then has the following week and a half scheduled off so there's no hurry.
Good luck with your c-section today Regan!
