Boys are Team blue, girls team pink and surprises team green.
Name Wendy
Age 28
Children Ronin 2
Possible names: Abigail Jacqueline for a girl ( great when you are team green, you have a left over) I did raise Elijah for a boy but hubby vetoed it so we are back to square one. We will get there though. We didn't have a girls name last pregnancy until 30 weeks.
Green team? If not why not: Yup, it took some fighting with our first with hubby to be team green as he wanted to know and I never did. His Mum stepped in and told him to stop being silly and let it be a surprise. I think he ended up enjoying announcing who his first born was
haha yeah!! lol
Thanks for respondong ladies!
I'm quite shocked at how many of you want to go green, but it makes me smileI always tell people to keep it a secret, just because what I experienced with DD was amazing.
I think I would find it hard to NOT find out next time around haha.

I luurrrrrve to lurk!
I'm surprised too!!!
Honestly, a little evil streak makes me want to have tom and me know, but not tell anyone, so it's a surprise for everyone else.
What was the best about not knowing for everyone? Now I'm curious why everyone liked it so much! lol

I never knew until that moment how badly it could hurt to lose something you never really had. - Missed Miscarriage at 10 weeks - 3/26/13
It's like giving birth, it is so hard to explain until you've experienced it!
When the midwife/doctor says "it's a....." the anticipation is immense.
It makes the whole 9 months worth it in a different way to just meeting your baby.

Both times my husband was the one to announce (more like SHOUT) the baby's gender at delivery. There is just something so special about his excited announcement that makes it worth the wait.
And on top of that, I personally save money by waiting to hear the news, because I hold off on buying things. If I found out that I was having a girl, I would probably bankrupt us before I was even showing. (We are both hoping for another boy, but baby girl clothes are irresistible to me. My nieces are spoiled, lol.)

My workmate did that, she and her partner knew but they told nobody until baby was born. She did really well I don't think she let slip to anyone at work and I even went looking at baby clothes with her. She did it because she already has a boy and didn't want people making the smart comments they tend to do about whatever you are having once you already have one child.
I loved the surprise, I ended up having a c section, though I refused to schedule it so left it up to baby to choose their birthday (the doctors at the hospital hated me but that's their issue not mine). My hubby was watching in the lights when DS was pulled out and he was the first to say anything when he blurted out "it looks like a skinned rabbit, but that's not a tail. We've got a Ronin". Yes so classy of my husband but I will never forget hearing we had a baby boy at that moment, and hubby will never live down his way of announcing. I also liked that because had had told no one I had gone into labour and he was born at 3:28am, we had a few hours of us with nobody knowing he had been born, it was like keeping this special little secret, including that he was a boy for that little bit longer. My Mum will be sworn to secrecy when we call her to come watch DS with the next baby.

Name: gem
Age 32
Children Hayden,5, Kaia 3 and 3 angels
Possible names: I like Ainsley, Asher and Lucia for a girl but DH would never agree to them.
Green team? If not why not: Team Green. We were team green for my son and found out with my daughter. I loved the anticipation and announcing with my son. With my daughter, we found out as my best friend's daughter had recently passed away and she was struggling with any news of girls. We wanted to give her time to adjust before baby arrived. We told her and eventually a couple of others figured it out but otherwise it was a surprise to everyone else
