Had a boring appt. here too today. My midwife had a little bit of a hard time finding the heartbeat as well... baby kept moving right when we would start to catch it. HB was 142 when we finally got baby to hold still long enough to catch the heartbeat. I had gained a couple of lbs., which put me back up to my beginning weight as I had lost a couple of lbs. at my last appt. Have my level II u/s set for the 16th of May! I asked my m/w if it was okay that I was still working out 3-4 times a week (I actually mostly ran/walked 4.0 miles yesterday on the treadmill!) and she encouraged me to keep it up... just to listen to my body and stop before I stressed my body. My blood pressure was also on the lower end: 116/62, I think. But, she wasn't worried about it. So, all in all a great, boring appt. today. Excited for my next appt, as they said it would totally be okay to bring all the kids in for the u/s too.
Yay! And what a fun u/s that will be!!!
Glad so many of you are reporting trouble with finding the h/b due to active babies...it will help me not to freak out to much if that happens to me at my appointment later today. Last time, she set the wand down RIGHT on top of it, no searching at all, so I'm a little spoiled
Love love LOVE great appointments like that (apart from hidey baby).

Baby #3 due Oct 1st!!
I'm lucky enough that my OB office has a portable U/S, she pulls it out of her lab coat to SEE the heartbeat every appt so far My usual doc is due next month though, so on Wed I'm seeing someone else... I'm anxious to see if this one is as happy to use the portable as the other is!! Yay for another boring appt!
