    Default 37w appointment (XP)

It went pretty well. Basically, as long as I don't have bleeding it's business as usual (with an IV placed once I get to the hospital). I can labor at home for a bit if I want. I can go naturally as long as things are going smoothly. It sounds like they will have some matched blood just in case, but hopefully we won't need it. And I'll be under the care of the MWs with the OB available at a moment's notice if needed. The hope is that baby's head will be low enough it will compress the edge of the placenta and prevent bleeding. I'm still nervous, but feeling a little better.
I'm measuring right on. Baby's active and his heart sounds great. Weight gain in great at 22lbs. The only thing, which is making me worry a tiny bit, is that my BP was higher than my normal at 122/72. I usually run closer to 105/60 at this point. And I had a trace of protein in my urine. They aren't worrying, but I hope it all stays normal. I've never had BP issues during pregnancy before (except for low BP).

ETA: I still have the option of a c/s if I start to freak out too much about labor under these circumstances. But... I know a c/s isn't risk-free, either. I figure if the doctor is so confident that I'll do okay at least trying, then I should be, too.

I already responded about the rest of it on your lodge, but as for your ETA: I would be nervous too but I agree that if the doctors think it's fine and are prepared to jump in should it be necessary, it's completely worth a shot. I hope you're able to get to a good mental place about it before labor.

I'm feeling pretty good about it. I think it's impossible to not be nervous facing something like this, though!

Baby was apparently measuring 11 days behind at my last u/s. The tech was having trouble getting some of the measurements, though She said his belly kept coming up huge because he was in a weird position (and that likely threw off the weight estimate, making it higher). I wouldn't mind a little one, (just not too little!) especially since mine have all gained a pound a week after birth. My belly is still measuring right on, so the MW isn't worried.

I don't think US are all that accurate this late. Don't worry to much. That is what I am trying to do too.
