Hmm...I'm definitely glad you've declined the induction for now. It's so odd to me that they'd rather the baby be born early if they suspect growth issues. Isn't the womb better than an incubator?
I'm glad you're feeling ready though! We've been a bit nesty here lately too. Mainly we need to figure out storage solutions for all this tiny pink stuff!
High-Risk Dr. visit UPDATE! So, we saw the high-risk Dr. today. He was great and laid back. The u/s tech took a bunch of measurements and then he came in and measured some more. He took one look at me and then DH and said neither one of us had big heads, so he wouldn't expect our baby too either. After measuring and looking at things, he said baby's brain looked great to him. He said her head is only measuring 2 1/2 - 3 weeks behind at the most (NOT 5 like the u/s tech at the office measured on Friday)... and he estimated her weight at just under 7 lbs (up 1/2 lb. from Friday's measurements). Everything else looked perfectly normal to him and he saw absolutely no reason why we would need immediate induction just because of a smaller head size. In his opinion, just having a smaller head size was not a reason for induction when there were no other medical issues.
So... I am very much relieved! And I have peace that she will be fine to come when she comes on her own. DH and I even took a few minutes after the appointment to stop by the mall and get a little treat at Auntie Anne's and just walk around a bit, without the other three kids after the appointment as my friend was watching them for us!
YAY! So glad you got good news, and it went so well...I'm sure it feels good not to have to WORRY about it, even if you were prepared to put up a fight.
(Is it wrong that I feel extra satisfied to hear that the high risk doctor agreed with my totally unprofessional assessment? lol!)
So glad the high risk doc had such a great take on the situation! Enjoy that small head when it come to delivery time.

Yay! I don't like late term Ultrasounds. After scaring me with DS1 I don't trust them. Sounds like your baby is perfect !
