Okay so according to my first 13 week US I am 40 weeks today and LMP tmw. I had a US and they estimated. 9 lbs 1oz as baby's weight. I am not dilated at all but am about 50% effaced. She's wants me back in on Weds for another check and US... Then she's going out of town and if I haven't delivered I 'll see her Monday when I'm close to 41. No I don't want a section..... No no no... Ugh!!!! I feel so hopeless!
Hang in there...doesn't sound like they're pushing c/s yet, right? What happened with your DS? Was he "late" or did your c/s happen too soon to know when he would have come on his own? I wouldn't personally be worried yet at 40 weeks...my DD was born at 41+1 and I'm fully expecting this one to be 40+ as well. And late term u/s weight estimates are notoriously inaccurate...that could be off by a full pound or more! Sounds like your body is moving in the right direction...I know it's so impossibly hard, but do your best to relax and trust it! A "due date" is just a guess, not an expiration date!
Hang in there Girl... a lot could happen in a couple of days. Have sex. Eat a pineapple. Try nipple stimulation... eat spicy food... go for lots of walks... and just stop during the day and will your body to go into labor. Think positive thoughts! Hope you get your vaginal birth. At least they aren't rushing you to get baby out NOW.
Sending you tons of dilation (and labor) vibes. I really hope your body cooperates and you can have your VBAC. 50% effaced is a good start. I went into labor at 50% effaced and no more then 1cm dilated with two of mine. And I wouldn't worry too much about baby size, depending on how you're built. I'm small (5'4" with 36" hips) and have had babies with big heads, the first of which amazed the nurse who helped with the delivery, and the 2nd of which I did with no pain meds. Having a baby who is really too big to fit is pretty rare.

Ha no... I had an appt today with a different more VBAC friendly hospital and will likely deliver there. I saw a Midwife who was awesome. No news on baby watch though. The Midwife preferred to use my initial US due date which was 9/30 and will have a BioPhysical US on Monday. We have a tropical storm heading our way this weekend so let's hope the weather gets labor going! Haha
The hospital is decent though, they will let me be mobile for labor and etc. they have birthing tubs and a 90% VBAC success rate.
