I might be scarce for a bit. I just signed up to do a craft fair in 2 1/2 weeks. It's my first so I'm going kind of nuts trying to get ready for it. I'll try to get over here occasionally to see how everyone is doing.

Baby and I are doing fine, but I wish I were getting more movement. DS2 + DS3 were pretty active by now (DS1 had an anterior placenta). I know the placenta is posterior and I know I can feel movement because I got an awesome cluster of 15-20 taps the other evening. Maybe he just like to kick my back or something.
oh, and unrelated, but I think worthy of celebration... I never expected I'd be BFing a 2 year old, but for the past few days I have been. wow.

Wow, congrats! And have fun at the craft fair!

I know, I'm antsy for more movement too. I'm definitely getting flutters, but I want MORE, and more definite. Soon now, I'm sure.

Hope the craft fair goes well! I am anxious for more movement too... my last baby was crazy, busy all.the.time ... this one seems quite quiet in comparison.

Wow, have fun at the craft fair! I take it you'll be selling some of your amazing homespun creations?
I hear ya on the movement. I'm only about 14 weeks and I do feel a little bit here and there, but I want to feel more too! My friend gave me her Doppler to borrow a few nights ago, and that has been really fun to use! I was getting worried because I felt so good these past couple weeks, instead of enjoying myself of course!
I nursed my last baby until his 2nd birthday exactly. That was our D-Day, and we talked about it for about a month beforehand, that it would be his last day of nursing. It got to the point where he would (at bedtime) say "Mom, can we stop talking and I can have my milk now please?" I appreciated the use of manners, but I was just DONE. Congrats on making it two years! That is something to be so super duper proud of, because it ain't easy! Cheers to you!

That's my exact plan if baby #2 turns out to be more of a long term nurser than DD was...I was fully prepared to go long distance with her, but as it turned out she self-weaned at 13 months and to be honest that was kind of perfect for me too (she was always a super restless and annoying nurser!) It'll be interesting to see what happens this time...but I think 2 will probably be my personal cutoff. I think it's really hard to wean them between 2 and 3 for developmental stage reasons, and I've seen a lot of friends struggle with their kids suddenly demanding to nurse ALL THE TIME at like 2.5...I really don't want to get into that. If it's in a nice, calm, winding down stage, I'm fine with helping it gently to a natural conclusion at 2.

DS1 and DS2 weaned when I was 8-9 weeks pregnant again. They were 13 and 13.5 months. DS3 has been down to just morning nursing for the past 9 months or so and I expected him to wean when I got pregnant again (he almost did last summer, but then I m/c at 9w and he picked up again).
I figured I'd wean at 2, but I'm liking the idea of having a toddler to help out with my oversupply after baby is born. I've gotten mastitis a bunch of times and I'll take all the help I can get clearing those clogs. I know weaning will be tough, but we'll get there someday. As it was, when DS3 was 8 months my 4 years old DS1 was asking for pumped milk even though he hadn't nursed in 3 years!

hah, and I just realized I've been on a lot the last few days. One of my friends on here went into labor and had her baby. I'll be scarce eventually. After I finish admiring newborn photos.
